- Big Devil may cry fan of the series.
- I like the character, Dante seems to talk some shit but he can back up everything he says, He seem to be a confident individual, at first he my be arrogant at younger age in DMC3 but he learns and grow wise as taught Nero’s ass in DMC4. I sometime feel as if dante is doing what is doing for the good people, he not haunting for power like his Brother vergil, but using his abilities with responsibility like spiderman. Vergil seem like a more hurt, troubled individual that blames myself for things, and I feel his pain. I don’t mean to rant but Dante known he has a job to do.
- He can manipulate Demonic Weapons as they was his own personal stuff, He has the power of a tyrant making he a BOSS! End of Story.
- Even if Dante is the worst Character in the game I still play him as my lead.
- DMC
- Style
- My son Dante
Still playing him because he’s the only character in the game with retardo normals (outside of Vergil) that I like (especially his more advanced assist based block strings and setups with hysteric). You gotta have one invincible normal character on your team in this game with all the crazy ass hit boxes in this game. Just blocking don’t cut it. You gotta put a box out there or air throw sometimes and Dante is still one of the best at doing that. Plus hammer is still the same stupid shit towards the ending frames you just have to use it a bit more preemptively so it lands where they can’t touch it anymore. A move that’s still invincible on both sides for 9 frames and hard knocks down is still plenty bullshit (and necessary for this game and to keep people away in clutch situations).
Plus he has new dumb ass mix ups in DT thanks to his reverse air dash he can now do after his air dash.
Plus Jam Session allows X-23 to instant kill your next character coming in if she has 3 meters after your last one dies. Even with air XF there’s still nothing you can do unless you’re Sentinel with a meter or Morrigan with 3 meters.
I need his assist, and it’s attached to an amazing character. I usually have him at second or anchor and I feel he’s still strong even at the end of a team. My point character builds tons of meter and I have no problems spending it all on Devil Trigger.
swag combos.
I’m a big fan of the Devil May Cry games and Dante is just a badass in them. Once I tried him out and saw his vast array of moves and all the different things he could do with them, that sealed the deal.
I picked up Dante because I got sick of losing and decided I needed to learn at least one cheap character.
I still lose, but Dante is a damn fun character to use
-DMC3
-Long, stylish combos
-The most moves in the game
He is the only one worth my practice time. Everyone else herps and derps, but Dante’s got just unnecessary tier swag potential. No one else has that.
easily the worst reason why to pick him everyknows its because hes so BA
He’s just so stylish and awesome! The best part of it is that he knows it. Suits my own personality you can say. As well, DMC is fudgin’ awesome!
Because he is the other Master of Swagnetisim…
Next to Magneto of course
Because Tron needs an assist.
And I guess I liked using him in SMT:Nocturne shrug.
#1: He’s an honorary black man.
#2 He gets bitches.
#3 He’s cheap as hell.
Fuck if I know. Vergil is better.
I used to play Dante in vanilla and now I just picked him up again in Ultimate. Feels good. The main reason I pick up any character really is some kind of attachment and to use a character nobody is really using. I loved the DMC games and there aren’t to many Dante players out there anymore. Everyone is running his brother instead.
From the first time I saw the E3 2004 trailer for Devil May Cry 3, I told myself “this motherfucker is so goddamned hype! The first fighting game he gets into is the first one I’ll jump in with.” Fast forward to last year and not only is he oozing DMC fanservice, dude is just an absolute joy to watch and play. Every new combo with him is fascinating and the flexibility in his options just makes him one of a choice few characters in the game that makes me want to break down all of his tech one day at a time. It’s gotten to a point where I almost can’t play/dislike other characters because I’ve gotten too used to this Jack of All Trades.
Actually doing his combos also adds to the overall experience. You feel like a monster hammering out rhythms to Bold Cancel moves in the middle of a long string. Seeing him zip around with teleports making sure your ass is never out of range mid combo is a fabulous rush. I’m basically learning something new everytime I turn on the game and get him on point where he needs to be for my own satisfaction. (Hilariously enough, I hate it when I lose him the most during matches. Although Strider and Ammy are great in their own way, the match doesn’t feel right if I can’t style or attempt to style with my main man.)
With X being a no show and Hsien-Ko getting the absolute ass end of the conversions from source material (Vampire Saviour Ko <3) to (U)MVC3, Dante is also the only one of my main favorite characters from Capcom that is both well done in presentation and an absolute blast to play as, so that’s another big plus.
I always found him to be awesome in DMC3 and have fond memories of playing the game. I love Jam Session and its similarity to Captain Corridor. Didn’t play him in Vanilla, but decided to pick him up in Ultimate because I want a good AA assist that’s a pretty good character for Dormammu.
And yes, his combos are extremely sick and I love his quotes when he comes in via DHC/incoming, “ALRIGHT!”, “TIME TO PARTY!”
I used Dante because im a big DMC fan since i was a kid.Even if Dante had Dark Pheonix Health i would still use him simply because i always loved Devil may cry.Him being good in this game was just a bonus.
Day 1 Vanilla, I knew I needed a character that was destined to be really good. I remembered Marn doing the day one relaunch, so I started playing him.
After that, he’s stuck with me because of Character love.
And flashy combos.
