Who uses PS3/Xbox360 Street Fighter IV FightPad

Hell yeah, 360 dpads are complete ass.

It’s def an upgrade over the regular xbox controller but now I want to play on a stick.

you must be hitting up somewhere at the end

cause all of srk knows that 360 motion is really just a 270(
:l::db::d::df::r::uf::u:)

i heard some pads went out in a week. is this true? bc thats what made me not buy one

i have a ryu 360 pad not even opened yet ;p saw it when i picked up my te stick and was like “hmm its the ryu pad for the 360…i know this shit is gonna be hard to find” so i bought. it still has the 39.99 price tag on it lol. i bought it with intention for guesses who come over to play but i have 2 sticks for 360 and ps3 so i decided to keep it as an antique hehehe…$_$ lol…

i also got a ps3 chun li wireless one. works good with pc as well but thing is it take AA battery i thought it came with a built in battery or something. oh yeah no lag at all tested on ps3 and mame works good… but the lagging problem could just be the battery power or the distant your at from the reciever…

I’d rather not waste money on a fightpad. I plan on making my own stick anyways, and even though it might take a while, I’m satisfied for now.

That said, I really would like one to bide me over. I just don’t believe the function justifies the (relatively) high price. Why pay $40 for a pad when I can get a controller with more functionality for the same? I know this is a really niche pad, and while I’d love to use it, its just too expensive, especially since they’re in such high demand.

sadly i did get one for my ps3 but it crapped out after a day, think it was a faulty usb sensor, madcatz told me im one of the first to get it on the next shipment but who knows when that will be sigh

love the 360 ones. bought a ps3 one to use at my friends because his worked great, but the one i got had a huge lag every now and then and had “sticking” direction. returning it once they get some in stock

I was fortunate enough to walk into my local Gamestop, pick up the Collector’s Edition SFIV and also grab a Ken pad for my PS3.

I personally really like it. For SFIV it’s awesome. It seems to have a bit more forgiving directional inputs than the USB Saturn pad (which I also use for SFIV); I don’t find myself accidentally back-jumping or forward jumping when doing some of the charge moves. 'Gief plays better for me now than he ever has, actually.

I will say this, however: mine has intermittently stopped working (receiver will flash for about 5 seconds, then reconnect) and twice it’s gotten “stuck”, where I’d just be constantly jumping or crouching (resolved by pausing, then unplugging and re-plugging in the USB receiver). Something to be aware of.

…One question: has anyone else had their D-pad make some unhealthy clicking noises? It sounds like something might be grinding in there… :\

mine has gotten “stuck” like you said… i just readjust how i’m sitting and it works again… i think it just likes a clear line of site, that seems to clear it up…

no grinding, but I’ve probably logged only about 5-10 hours on it… I use the hrap most of the time…

I have a Ken FightPad for 360.
I like it.
Quarter circles and half circles are really easy with it.
I do have trouble with b,f,b,f supers but I think it’s because the dpad is bigger than what I’m used to.

I’d prefer to use my Saturn pads but I only have original and USB versions.
