I agree about playing, but if youāre going to argue that looking at a recorded video is somehow different than looking at them playing in person, youāre just making a fool out of yourself. Maybe, since youāre more focused at a tourney, but itās still ridiculous. You donāt magically have a greater cognizance of the match by watching it liveā¦
Anakron- But what I am saying is that being at the event you learn more in general, Iām talking about the āBig picture.ā
First off people have to realize:
-
By the time you see a match vid the tactics are probably already old. So if you are just watching match videos you are just a follower, you are always gonna be 5 steps behind the people out there ACTUALLY PLAYING.
-
98% of the time there are matches left out, omitted by various reasons such as people just choosing the ābest matchesā, not wanting to record everything, not wanting people to see warmups, getting equipment hooked up while people are playing thus you only see what was played when the equipment got hooked up (what happened in Juarez), or hell I just got LAID in Mexico so by the time Drunk Kane9999 was playing Rodo I was resting from some hot action, so I didnt wanna record everything, I just rested and watched on and off etc, so you really donāt get to see EVERYTHING, you miss the big picture by just going off match videos.
So in conclusion, you gain a lot more by being in person at a tournament than simply watching match videos. In person you get to see everything, for example, I played Ismael a good 30 something matches in 2002 UM last time I was in Juarez, but you all only got to see the last 2 matches.
Who knows the full story? Me with the 32 matches or you guys who only got to see TWO???
Even me watching Kane9999 playing vs. Rodo and the others all the matches I had on youtube are NOT all the matches played that weekend, those are just the ones recorded, so once again who is getting the better deal here? You guys just watching the match vids uploaded or me being there seeing ALL the matches even the ones not recorded?

Is there going to be a porno? Juarez WhoreZone?
Hey I thought about putting some stuff on Xtube but I decided not to hahahaha.
OMFG, every1 is still arguing over a Japanese player who came over and lost? Oh freaking well, if Daigo loses in tournament, he suddenly isnāt one of the top SF players?
All pride and reputation aside, Danke can come, he can be accommodated with sticks and buttons he is familiar with, and if he loses, good games, better luck next time.
Iām not even gonna play this āWhoās betterā bullshit anymore, cause itās getting no where, and as far as Iām concerned, is a very childish argument topic. I mean seriously, a Japanese player going to Mexico to play against the top Mexican players, that is already a marvelous achievement considering this isnāt SSF4 weāre talking about. Yet no one is fucking satisfied, if Danke loses, itās because of 1 of 100 side factors, if he wins, the Japanese are superior in every way. Whether the guy takes first place, or dead last, his appearance, dedication to come, and DG actually going through the trouble of getting him here and accommodating him with a comfortable arcade setup should be greatly appreciated, not criticized.
Judge, you doubt Danke?! He hails from Glorious Nippon! And we all know the only people who call bring those whose hail from GLORIOUS NIPPON down are those who are from GLORIOUS NIPPON!
No Dark Geese! No Viva La Mexico for you!
I hate this thread. Someone delete it.
Hey if the mods delete this thread then trust me we all will be happy, but since they havenātā¦might as well have fun with it.
Update, Alexis may be going with me after allā¦a lot of players from D.F. want to play him for money, so things are about to heat up in Mexico Cityā¦
Judge- You see what I gotta deal with now, itās a lose-lose either way! Now you see!
That is the sign of true fanboyism, canāt admit when someone loses!!! At least admit that someone lost, either way, instead of getting butthurt and making excuses!
A REAL man can swallow his pride and admit when heās wrong.
Stay tuned!

Get some hot mexicon gals to cosplay KOF females and then we got ourselfs a million dollar idea here:wgrin: Although what judge said is right, shouldnt we just be happy to see this level of devotion and commitment to a game we all love and cherishā¦why do āsomeā people have to suck the fun out of everything.
P.S.
Dont delete my thread its brought us some comedy gold from emil, if this isnt here then the Jap fanboyism will spread throughout the entire board instead of being enclosed on a single threadā¦u see this thread is like a containment for trolls lol.
@Hatred Edge: ???"???"
@Everyone else: There is no moderation in this sub-forum, so there is no penalization for trolling or starting an argument. They usually are fun, but when it comes to the Mexico v Asia argument, nothing gets resolved or understood.

Mainly because of the extreme denialism from certain membersā¦
So Danke and Bata are the only confirmed Japanese players that will be going to your next event? Thatās pretty damn cool and keep up the good work!
BTW, since Bata was the first one to come over, what has his feedback been back in Japan about the Mexican players he played while he was in Juarez? Have many other KOF Japanese players taken notice and are tempted to come over for some future events?
Hurr Hurr so clever, activating the Bat Signal so Keits can close this thread
Incorrect my good man, the only reason why the mods donāt really bother with some of the subforums is because they donāt have the time to (Iām sure moderating the SSFIV/MvC3 section is a full-time job) and to be honest I cant really blame them, I mean I wouldnāt voluntarily shuffle through this shit storm of a thread just to figure out whose trolling who either
As a matter a fact Cibernetico, Geeseās heard that Hammarās wanted to come over ever since Bata has lost. They might have him over during the 2002 tournament of August (Mexico Vs. Panama), but things must be discussed with Dune in order for that to happen. Heās a hard man to get in contact with and according to Dune, Hammar is #20 in KOF2002 currently out of the Japanese players.
@Krazykone123
I donāt know about that⦠Iāve seen them ban members and such for ridiculous reasons. Personally, I think they only want to make themselves look good and get rid of those who make them sound bad. Thatās just my thoughts though.
Hey hey EVO- Good idea. I want one to cosplay Angel so that when I give it to herā¦ahhh nevermind lol. Yes we cannot have the blind fanboyism spread all over lord no, why do some people have to be so damn ignorant?? Geezā¦I mean damn just because I love the Kansas City Chiefs doesnāt mean I canāt admit when they suck or when they lose!!!
Geez some peopleā¦xD
Bata is in Europe right now Cibernetico for a full year studying English, Danke is the one that will be there, Alexis from Juarez is highly likely and we are focusing on Danke right now in addition to the hoards of competition he will have to face in Mexico City and I told him itās gonna be VERY VERY TOUGHā¦I mean hell Abraham, even Khannibal,Winnie, Kensou, Clavi, and Bart are a hop skip and a jump away so thats the type of talent we are talking about, even old use to be top player Osmani is right around the corner, even the guy we all love to hate KULA is right around the corner, so we are at the very heart of KOF for 2002. The #1 player in 98 in Mexico is from D.F., (Andres) is gonna be there too, so basically we are at the heart of KOF for 2002 and 98!
Cibernetico- We got Bataās feedback on film:

Plus thereās more on the DVDsā¦
I wonāt doubt that (Iāve seen it happen a lot), either way this topic still needs to be closed
If you can get a Mexican girl to cosplay Angel, make sure she at least does not replicate her annoying in game voice.
As for the post game interviews, I saw those already and itās cool to see him give praise to guys like Abraham and others. But I was actually referring to what he has let his fellow countrygamers know of his travels and experiences playing new competition in KOF. And also wanted to know if he has at least spurt some interest in the majority of the gamers over there to at least consider traveling in to Mexico in the future to experience what he did vs. the Latin players.
Ciberfantico- Bata told Dune he feels like he lost because The Mexicans were strong, and yes he has spurt some interest in Japan as did Dune, there is more interest in Asia in general now for coming to Mexico and playing Latin American players in KOF. Dune even has reference to that in his blog as we speak (Danke talked to me about it), and Bata wants to come back to Mexico, which he willā¦for 98/98UM and that will at the same time be a chance to redeem himself in 2002 and 2002 UM.
Also if she cosplays as Angel I hope her voice wonāt be that annoying, but hey as long as sheās having a āgood timeā hahahaha.
Iād imagine the Mexican women in Mexico look much better than the ones we have here. Although I will give it to this generation of Mexican girls here. They have been taking better care of themselves when it comes to looks.
BTW Dark Geese, how is the arcade scene in Mexico? SOme of the snippets Iāve seen from the one you took Bata to does not seem that huge but enough to house a good number of machines.
Yeah man not only do the Mexican women in Mexico look better in Mexico, but they ACT BETTER TOO smell better ādown thereā (Like water how I like it! lol), more humble, less materialistic, and I can go on and on and the difference is like night and day every time I get further away from the border into the USA man. I can see the difference how these women act the closer I GET to the border of the USA/Mexico and still be in the USA!
The arcade scene in Mexico is still very much alive, itās like going back in time 20 years in the USA, say back to the 90sā¦Thereās a few arcades too, but for KOF the main one in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico is The Plaza de Las Americas, which just happens to be pretty close to the El Paso/CD. Juarez border.
Also just wanted to let everyone know, from Luis Cha- There will be a LIVE STREAM of this event!
What does water smell like exactly? >_>
Great to hear there will be a stream. I can assure you I will be watching as much as I can, which will probably be everything.
