My mains:
-Donkey Kong (Fast, strong, and I’m surprisingly evasive with him; it’s also fun to use his Final Smash on small stages.)
-Bowser (Buffed [of course, not compared to other characters], can deal nice amounts of damage if you can stick neutral B up-close, fun to suicide with side B, and just gnarly to play as Giga Bowser)
-Ice Climbers (Buffed significantly, can fly with their side B, their up B doubles as a tether recovery that can rescue the other climber if done right, and fun damage with their Final Smash)
-Olimar (Surprisingly, I warmed myself up to him very well. Small to evade some moves, can spam Pikmin tossing and fast running grabs, and End of Day is just mean. ^_^)
-Luigi (I was always good with Luigi in Melee, and now he just seems to have gotten better in Brawl, what with his flying down B, and possible chain of down grab/throw and immediate up B, not to mention Negative Zone)
My alts: Mario, Wario, Yoshi, Zelda, Captain Falcon, Ness, Lucas, Meta Knight, Sonic, Pikachu, and Mr. Game and Watch
my new mains are wolf, lucario and bowser. bowser is a blast to use it just sucks that its an uphill battle against most of the cast. Im looking at you pit/shiek/toon link!
Im really starting to like jigglypuff. in fun casual matches I dont mind busting out jiggs (the pokemon, not the dance) but if its serious Ill use bowser/wolf/lucario
Ganondorf. I play a nice and mean bastard style too. I’ve learned he can soak up the damage like a sponge, but won’t really GO anywhere until he’s taken quite a bit, and in the meantime, I’m swattin’ fools around like flies (in Basic Brawls, anyway). It’s always fun to make people sweat when he’s charged up for a FS. They want to get high on the field, and I’ll let them. The more territory an opponent cedes to Ganon, the more access he gets to the fun toys littering the area. Then, of course, they see that I’m not too concerned about unleashing the FS until I know I’ll get some KOs with it, and someone tries to attack me. They usually eat Gerudo Choke -> Beast Rush for a stock loss.
As for secondaries? I’d play almost anyone… Donkey’s my next favorite. Love the ol 'Give ‘em head(butt) and a Donkey Punch’ routine…
Only characters I WON’T touch are:
Snake (Way to have a fuckin’ ‘I win’ button, you douche)
Marth (Andogynous little cunt he is, plus Melee bias)
Ike (seen too many people abusing the Super Armor with this nancyboy. Plus that goddamned ‘goody-goody’ “I fight for my friends” quote… christ, do you SUCK THEM OFF TOO?!)
Team Furfag, AKA Fox, Falco, Wolf (Fox’s pissed me off since 64, and the reflectorstall here is fagtastic. Falco’s less annoying, but still got that goddamned tank. And Wolf, well… he’s in the same group, so auto-hate for him.)
Metaknight’s… alright. He just needs to rack up ALOT of damage before thinking about taking stocks, even though he can DO that easily enough.
Yeah, Bowser got the cut. Just wasn’t pulling in any wins anymore.
Which brings me to my next point, the more I played Bowser and the more people played my Bowser (as of late anyways) he seemed to stop short, and the whole mess could have been better had he had a heavy character priority, but he just didn’t. Out ranged by swords and projectiles, out prioritized by so much he seemed more and more gimmicky (forward B, B) than actually useful near the end. Falco got the cut cause, well I personally couldn’t control him…one too many accidental forward B’s off the level was the final straw that broke the camels back, lol. And Link? Well, I never used him much anyway.:wonder:
Pikachu is a character I have always kept on the backburner since N64 days and his Brawl form is just as monsterous as his N64 version only thing I feel I am personally struggling with here is controlling his quick attack but practice makes perfect, yo. Dirty Dededeeds is a heavy character with spam, which is highly useful in this game plus he can KO just as well…even has his own suicide as well as a chain grab plus just a lovable character overall…his waddles agree:rofl:. When it comes to Zelda/Sheik, most use one or the other, but I’m in the process of learning them both, Zelda is the main one right now(POWAH KICK!), until I get Sheik down. Ike, slow, powerful, easily spammable super armor move, and range. Yes plz.
And so there you have it:
Old List: Bowser, Luigi, Link, Falco
New and (most likely) Final List: Pikachu, D3, Zelda/Sheik, Ike
What’s funny is how much I prefer Brawl Sheik over Melee Sheik. In Brawl I feel more comfortable turtling and playing mind games with the needles and the f-tilt loop(hereafter referred to as Violet Infinity…inside joke with my best friend).
I can’t play Zelda worth a poop, but I’ll learn her. Just because she’s attached to Sheik.
Both of them have attractive breasts.
