Who Is The Most Important SRK Member In Real Life?

agreed, but its a tradeoff to go into management. the higher up you go, the more hours you’re expected to work and the more responsibility. if you keep moving up, you’re basically on call 24/7 if shit hits the fan or whenever there’s a deadline. i wanna try for a lead position in a few years and see what that’s like, and if i like managing people (probably not, i’m not exactly a people person), then i’ll switch to management.

nice dude, hit up the that silicon valley. i’d say just try to find a startup, it won’t pay as well, but you could become filthy rich. if it doesn’t work out, then you can work a more boring corporate job like i’m doing now. working for a startup is a lot of fun and its a good experience. better to do it while young and don’t have too many responsibilities and people to take care of. especially if you’re gonna be in cali.

maybe in america, theres a few small guys here that make 100/150k a year here. and no, they aint big time mobsters or really that fucking dangerous. you got clientelle, you got doe. the big ones are the ones bringing in the goods (kilos and tons) or people who grow trees by the thousands.

shit, youd make that money here if you put 500 plants in your house and do it twice a year. 8 to 12 weeks per time. let alone if you do it 3 or 4 times. some places they keep on planting for years before the popo ever find out and shut the shit down (and most of the times its because of a small fire cause of some shortcircuitry or some bs, not because the cops are that good).

big time shit are the people who gamble 500k to a mill in the casino in a day trying to laundry that shit. they win, its legal, they lose, fuck it. theres more where that came from.

edit: if you sell to 5 people or some sad shit like that in a day you aint even a dealer, not even small time. you mean to tell me you take that risk and not even make money off it? looking at your prisons, thats some retarded ass shit to be doing. you get out and you still aint got shit. let alone the time you get for that shit over there.

I work in IT, I am a sysadmin and I’m pretty much on call 24/7 if the shit hits the fan as well! I have no urge to move into management though. I’m good at what I do and I have a lot of time to do what I want, no supervision, and am left to my own devices. It’s great.

six figures is incredibly easy to do off of green. The problem is the lead up to it. You’re not just able to do it starting out the gate. You need to build up a clientelle, and that takes time. It’s hard to weed (pun!) out the serious buyers and the random folks. But i’ll break it down in simple terms:
You are moving 5 lbs a week. That’s 5 people you trust who got there niche on lock, so need to reup every week or so. You letting them go for 1200. You getting em from texas for the 500. Net profit of 700 per pound, and thats 3500 a week. 52 weeks in a year brings you up to $182,000. Give or take them slow weeks, and six figures is easily done. the problem though is getting to the point where you got 5 lil homies who needs a p a week from you. But even still , if it’s just 3. that’s about $109,000.

From personal experience, i’d say it takes about 2-3 years to get to that point of clientelle , if you’re raised in that environment. Meaning you got started when you were 14-18.

Now if you take this hustle to college, and supply your local colleges, this becomes infinitely easier. competition becomes a problem at schools, but like i said, if you from that city and raised in that environment, not hard at all.

The problem is fast money gets spent fast. You might be netting 100k pure profit and cash, but half of that money is probably lost on : robberies, clothes, hoes, gambling(dice, spades, casinos , hood shit) , clubs, bills, and family. So even though you made that much money, you going to stay broke, with maybe 10-20k stashed away for emergencies.

Oh and guns. Guns can get expensive and the good hustler knows to throw them thangs away, cept for maybe one or two pieces. Ak’s go for 2800 and up on the west coast, it 's crazy. Not even fully automatic, but w//e im rambling now.

In closing, it’s not that hard. Just going to take some time. Andf if you not from that environment, then it probably wouldn’t happen. Aint noone going to go to a “new” dealer. Ya know? Not for some major anyway.

fascinating post. so you pack heat even when you’re just dealing weed? people get robbed over weed? really? i figured that’d happen for drugs like coke, but even weed?

and how do you deal with the police? like lets say one of your guys who buys a pound is caught, and he snitches on you? what then?

In the states maybe. Up here it’s very possible for even the smallest of DD’s to pull in 6 figures.

i spent 2009 fighting a federal wiretapping case for heroin trafficking, i might know what u guys are talking about.

I’m actually never called now that I moved into a lead position. I was on call 24/7 before working as a lead system admin, but nowadays it seems like I don’t get called at all. Of course, it’s more system engineering work than actual management work. It’s just dealing with the higher ups once in awhile and their politics, but most of the time it’s a lot of freedom. You tell the guys who work for you to do what they have to do, and with a good team you basically sit back and reap all the benefits. …but yeah, money has very little to do with importance IMO. A lot of guys in the IT field easily clear 6 figures (myself included) but in the grand scheme of things, I ultimately think it’s insignificant how much you get paid. I know plenty of guys in management who get paid far more than I do and just play solitaire at their desk all day. They are hardly important.

wtf, how long you been in IT? Untill i get to senior software engineer 3 level or lead level i’m not going to be clearing 6 figures for a hot minute.

2 marroken guys (one of them i knew personally) got cut up in pieces and dumped (or burried or whatever nobody knows). the family and shit dont even have a body to burry. but then again they broke into a place where they where growing the shit (everythings automatic, even got cameras). there where 3 of them, the one on the outlook got away. police only found blood on the floor and no bodies, but then again you shouldnt break in unarmed to a place where there was possibly 200k of weed. you know somebody getting killed for that amount, even in the netherlands.

@ shark, why not grow it yourself? america is HUGE. theres gotta be some mid or southern places where there aint a person to be found for miles. you could potentially grow 1000’s of plants there, shit even 10 or 100 thousands. 8 to 12 weeks is all you need (in time). here in the netherlands i know lots of people who grow in different volumes. 30 or 40 g’z 2 or 3 months. others litterally make millions. and WAY less work than selling coke grams and half grams.

also if you cant even make at least 50k dd’ing, it means your actually dd’ing to break bread. thats just bad, more like surviving than making money.

also bout snitches, thats why i find most of these 100k+ makers funny. this guy makes like 150k a year just on coke. he got snitched, knows who it is and nothing. if you snitch on the people bringing in big doegh or who grow big your done. i do have respect for people that make that 100k+ and are prepared to protect their shit.

I’m a sysadmin, clearing six with a security clearance is pretty much expected. I did it with no degree, 4 years experience in the Navy, as a DoD contractor when I got out.

Now I work in International Development rather than defense in a more senior position, but I make less. The advantage is better insurance, over a month and a half off a year, and extremely relaxed work environment.

Our software guys can top out higher than the sysadmins, but the sysadmins in general make more and gain quicker, they just top out quickly or have to make management.

dealing drugs is bad.

strange, i’ve got roughly 3 years industry experience(software engineering + B.S. Degree) and i’m still pretty far from there and i have a security clearance :S

i mean i make decent money but not close to 100k lol

Dealing with drugs is bad.

Location matters as well, I’m in DC, there is tons of need to hire people. And like I said, I took a pay decrease when I left the DOD.

You also said you were in software, that’s going to take longer than administration.

I think we need to break off into a new thread - The Wire: SRK Edition

I vaguely remember someone on srk talking about druggies coming to them with not enough money and letting them fuck their girlfriends for the product, then the girl saying he better put like 3 rubbers on and put it in the backdoor to be safe

Reported anyway.

It sounds familiar to me as well. A cookie to anyone who finds who that was.

Aww man that show was awesome!

i cant fucking believe you guys are talking about this in detail, don’t you know wtf the patriot act is? holy shit, play it close to the chest man.
