Who is the greatest FG player of all time?

Justin Wong won the most in MvC2 and thats the best game of all time so therefore hes the best fg player of all time

Didn’t HF beat him kinda convincingly at ReveLAtions though?

Agreed.

Who’s the best? Probably me. But I’m too lazy and cheap to show up at tournaments so… Drunk post is drunk.

…but Tokido (Dark 13) was good in GG and GG matters much more than BB ever will.

Really? He took out Rain in a tournament before? I only remember him taking out Nin and Knee at one of the MLG event.

True, that was the only time GM did better than Knee and Nin. Virtually all other Tekken tournaments in 2010 were won by Koreans.

Easy one Daigo ofc he was or is still good at any game he touches and he changes often his games unlike other pro who are good only in 1 game.

Daigo is of course extremely good at fighting games, but don’t disregard people like Nuki. He is beastly at any game he touches. You can pretty much say the same about Justin Wong as well.

The greatest FG player will be the one who punches Filipino Champ in the face so his jaw will have to be wired shut.

In VSav, probably Sako. Dat Bulleta loop.

who’s eddie?

This discussion was ruined as soon as someone mentioned Smash Bros.

Not as big of a joke as being good at Marvel 3.

gotta be Tomo.

I’m guessing Eddie Lee. Also vids please on Tokido playing GG.

i have no idea who that is. i’ll ytube that name.

In terms of greatest, really who knows.

In terms of most important FG player, Tomo was the first real phenom of the scene back in the 90’s. I read about the guy back in the old SF 2 Strategy Guide and only years later, thanks to guys like Jeff Schiaffer and others from that era talking about how good he was, his skill is really now coming out.

How many people mentioning Tomo have actually seen him play? I don’t doubt that he was as good as people say he was, but in all the years I’ve heard about him, I’ve never seen an actual match vid of him. I’m sure he was a great player but I could never say someone is the greatest without having seen them play first at least.

You can blame it on the technology at the time. Kind of hard to have match vids when there weren’t as many portable camcorders, and capturing technology was something most people couldn’t afford

Yeah I know that. There’s virtually no videos at all from that era of SF. The point was that how can you say someone is the best SF player of all time if you’ve never seen them play?
