W.H.A.T. T.H.E. H.E.L.L. !!1??

Bryan is top tier, because he looks pissed off all the time. Seriously, look at him… he’s fucking angry.

he’s telling the truth. he got 9th at evo last year!

Steve Fox is tops in T5 bar none!
Everything he does is safe.
His oki is GODLY!
He has good punishers.
His infinite is easy to do and all he has to do is step you one good time and its GG.

After that you have Nina, Mishimas and Feng.

Sarcasm? I hope so!

You can’t see it, but I’m shaking my head in a disappointing manner.

Nina is a bitch to fight, I can’t recall how many times I chunked my controller in frustration. I don’t play this competitively, but I believe the list posted up, and I usually only use Bryan (Crazy ass mofo) and Kazuya (Since they changed Jin’s fighting style in 4, I looked to Kazuya to give me the Mishima karate I love).

those chars mentioned can easily defeat nina.

Lei as mentioned has very different stances and confusing mix ups. All he’d have to do is SSR her d/f1,2 or backdash and play dead, then free combo!!!

Hwoarang would just have to go into flamingo and go all the way around her. If you know she’s going to d/f+1+2…just get out of it. Also, stay within range 1.5 and SSR and backdash accordingly!

Lei even loses to scrub Nina’s in 5.0 lul

So…you go there often?

I live for the lulz

This is the bestest thread ever.

And NeREMIXED and bobino speak the truth.

Lei = #1 in 5.0 due to reasons mentioned above. Kuma = #2 because of his Bear Fart. It’s unblockable, does 100% damage, and crushes highs. No other character has a move like that.

Strider2k2 stated what “safety” or safety on block means very well. I couldn’t have said it better myself. :china:

“Safe moves are moves that give you a frame advantage (hence, “safe”) on block (if blocked). In general, these are moves from your character’s movelist that you can do with minimum consequence/retaliation if the opponent blocks and tries to counter. The best “safe moves” come out fast, have good range and end fast. Not all safe moves have good range, though.”

Since ur very familiar w/ VF Sivak, that will help u out tremendously in getting better @ Tekken. Since both games are 3-D fighters, the transition will be a lot easier as opposed 2 playing a 2-D game like MVC2. Focus on those crucial elements of the game, work on them, & you’ll get pretty good @ the game.

As far as everyone saying that Lei & Kuma are the best in 5.0 is kind of funny. If you look @ the tier discussions on tekkenzaibatsu.com you will see that it’s consistent that ppl say Steve, Nina, Bryan, Feng, & Devil Jin are the top five characters due 2 the crucial elements needed 2 be great @ the game as was mentioned earlier.

Don’t get me wrong or think I’m dogging on Lei or Kuma, they’re cool characters, they have some strengths where they can compete against anybody, & any character is able 2 beat another character @ any time, but the Top Five tier characters just have 2 many tools @ there disposal, & more often than not, they will win the most matches out of any of the other characters in the game.

To ppl that say any of those top five characters aren’t top tier, go 2 youtube & watch some matches of some really good players playing as top-rated characters. Some players include: The Crow (Steve player who’s the 2-time Evo Champion in Tekken 5.0), Jinmaster (One of the best East Coast Tekken players that uses Nina), and Justin Wong (One of the most noted fighting game players ever that uses Nina & Feng very damn well).

These are only just a few examples of really good players that use the best characters, & if you notice, they play competitively in Tekken & win tournies. Hope this info has helped some of you guys out. :china: I’ll try 2 get some links set up for some of those match videos.

Sorry 2 doublepost, but here are some matches 4 ur viewing entertainment.

Sarcasm?:wonder:

Paul is top tier because he’s American.

The best? Probably DevilJin or something.

I C wut U did Thar!

How’s Ganryu fair? I ask because I once saw a Ganryu player beat Nin (godly steve) in 5.0…

this thread is great why the low rating? =(

Ganryu is really good in my opinion! Just mix up with his mids and lows. Also, he has plenty of half health combos!
