Who in your opinion is the most brain dead fighting game character ever?

cvs2 cammy

you kinda only need…one button

KoF '96 Mature. All you need is Jump C+D, stand C+D, and her slash.
Brain dead character for a brain dead game :looney:

Another vote for Ooze.

Kenshi in MK9 was ridiculous.
This is the first time I heard about Ooze, THAT stuff is crazy.

The range on the roundhouse kick

Bane in Injustice. I spent the last 7 months beating decent players and placing high in tournaments without knowing any frame data or having any neutral game. Bane’s special moves with venom beat all other moves in the game, and his fastest armored special is safe on block. Only armored moves beat venom, and at max venom, Bane beats armored moves. Wouldn’t be so brain dead if Bane didn’t close the gap in two dashes. He’s what Hulk would be if he was in a traditional fighting game.

The entire cast of Vs. (not to be confused with the vs series by capcom)

Ivan ooze is the only correct answer.
If we’re talking fighting games that are played at tournament level? Pre nerf superman from injustice is a big contender.

Bane still sucks though.

Oh my god, are you talking about that PS fighting game with the pimp looking dude, no jumping and the chick with the underboob?

I loved that shit back in the day (and only partially because it was my first ever underboob sighting).

DMX in def jam fight for ny. srsly unstoppable

Clay Fighter (SNES).

Pick Tiny, air d+HP, once and again, you Win.

Deathstroke from injustice. I mean I had the easiest victory in story mode with him and I didn’t even main him.

Get to one corner, shoot constantly, jump and shoot and hope the oponent can’t teleport.

Def Jam: FFNY Sticky Fingaz.

Always press punch in blockstrings. The penalty for guessing wrong five or ten times is massively outweighed by the full punish you get for the haymaker(s, up to 4) you get off a counter, if your opponent plays enough Def Jam to know about this, fish for strike counter on incoming attacks whenever they are close enough to jab, see above on “guessing wrong”. Plus you have the health, speed and damage output to basically not give a fuck about anything ever.

I love how people talk about Pre Nerf superman like he actually got nerfed, he lost like 3% dmage off his bnb’s, his glitched corner damage was fixed, he had a slight hitbox adjustment on his F+2,lost a frame of advantage on freeze breath, and gained a whole 3 frame of recovery on down laser.

He got placebo nerfs to please the scrubs he didn’t get changed. He isn’t placing anymore because people actually started exploring the game instead of whining and started to find out who the real braindead characters were.

DMX wasn’t in FFNY fool, that was Vendetta.

Sticky Fingaz wasn’t all that crazy. If you’re taking create a fighters out of the equation, dudes seriously underrate Trejo. His Blazin is a punch starter, if you eat a heavy attack or get stunned or something you’re getting lit up, can’t make mistakes against Trejo. Rollins was fucking strong too because he had really solid kicks and had the most ways to knock you out of anyone because 4 fighitng styles. Had to watch for haymakers, had to watch from off the wall attacks, had to be careful about clinches, couldn’t let him grab you too much because of the submissions, he could basically footsie his way into a 50/50 situation that will eventually kill you no matter what.

Anybody with Street Fighting is automatically high tier in FFNY, I just don’t think grappling is viable outside of a guaranteed punishment situation. On that note, I’d say Sticky is the best street fighter because he has everything that makes a street fighter good, but his jab is faster than most other character’s jabs so he can mash P if he doesn’t want to deal with a mixup.

We should definitely take this to a Def Jam thread or something, its rare I get to have an intelligent conversation about the game discounting the other two people I play with.
Our meta was originally Crazy Legs is the best (that pseudo invincible 5K that you can’t standing counter is stupid as shit). We found out Sticky countered Crazy Legs and have yet to find a viable counter for Sticky. With Snoop and some of the street fighters the matchup becomes varying degrees of playable, but still in Sticky’s favor.

I will admit we sleep on Rollins, I’m the only player in my scene that’s messed with him and I found his movelist to be a bit awkward.
