Yeah, but when you think about it, it’s very difficult to set up a good Denjin against someone with good reactions like Umehara in his prime, or any of the top Japanese players for that matter. ryu’s sa1 is the best. for denji all you have to do is roll and parry it but denji is fun to use if your playing people you know that you can get it off on.
Don’t I know it! Whenever I start a Denjin against my friend he just goes “Oh,shit! Not this!” And it works almost every single time.
In any case, I hope Frankie3s can someday try his hand at a big tourney and maybe prove that Denjin is worth it. It’s a heckuva long shot, but why shouldn’t we hope?

Didn’t Frankie qualify and go to SBO two years ago? Him and Pyrolee, when SBO used a 2on-2 format for 3S. He got banged up by a Chun player in the first round, I think.

my favorite Ryu players are Frankie3s, Georgia, and Namijin. who knows if Frankie and Georgia even play anymore though.
