- Umehara Daigo (of course) simply because of the beasting he puts out every time
-Kokujin (even though he’s now retired) because of those crazy dash-under corkscrew blows he pulls off and that evil rose
-Sugiyama… what can I say? Necro’s my favorite character and he just plays him so well. How he does that HP corner juggle so long I’ll never know, but it’s so FUN to see the secret tier bestiality. I suppose Pinoab7 and Ozeking get props, too. But Sugiyama just puts them to shame.
-RX… because the man’s a parry beast. Those unblockables get my gut twisted up every time I see them come out. He’s just too good
-YSB/Hayao… because their Hugos are top-tier. Parry beasts and mid tier gods they are.
Nuki/AFM… because they’re the only Chuns I can stand watching. It’s just sooooo awesome seeing the rushdown Chun in action. Somehow they manage their space well even when rushng their opponents. Props to Chuns that make a match interesting.
CVS2:
-Kindevu: because he’s so godly. That’s all I can come up with.
-OTK: insane K-groover. That Rock is BOMB and the JDs he pulls off are SCARY. When your opponent is JD-ing your low jabs and shorts, you should be very scared…
-Ricky Ortiz: Great player, persistent in pressuring opponents, keeps each match interesting. Consistent player and one of the best damn Sakuras I’ve ever seen
-Crazy Ass Kim: This motherfucker is ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! One of the sickest Blankas and most random-assed players I’ve seen. And he WINS. So fun to see in tournament, I can’t give enough props to this guy.
-Buktooth/Campbell Tran: Yes, that Iori is bomb, but that Hibiki is SICK. N-groove hibiki is one of the best in the game, and he fucking proves it.
MVC2: You know… I have yet to see any decent players I don’t enjoy watching. I wish I could see more matches from the seattle players.

I actually think jason’s fun to watch too. He can play a bunch of different characters he just doesn’t bring them out much. I’ve yet to see somebody parry out of his unblockable shit, and he seems to fight evenly with ltb. Even if he’s not crazy top tier shit, his game and execution are very solid. Somehow I think I’m the only one who thinks so. When he’s feeling out of it or bored or frustrated he’s really lame to watch, random parries and crappy supers and other bullshit.
Any of you marvel guys. I have no idea what is even going on. Some day I will try to join the ranks of the marvel players.

he may not be top tier and he may not win tournies (yet), but it’s cool to see how much he learns and how he puts it to use…even if he gets one karakusa off then whiffs the rest of them.

also i really enjoy watching preppy play marvel he’s so good and i love how he throws in what seems to me random lower tier characters and still kicks ass anyone who can win with less than top tier is top tier in my book.
Do you think it’s the particular 360s or do you just find Championship/8-way sticks to be better for 3S?

That’s what I used to think… and then I realized that all I needed to do with a hcf (well, I use hcf+p in the juggles 'cause it helps with my timing… kinda hard to explain, doesn’t matter) and then just time the punch so that I press punch as soon as I’m back into a neutral state. Like, don’t worry about timing the stick motion, just the punch button. shrug I know how you feel, I’d play Makoto if I could do s.hp -> SA2 on a stick. Then again, who don’t I play? -_-
I like watching Mandel play… because thematches are always epic… and if the matches aren’t epic, then his commentary is!
