id say magneto (mvc2) hes such a scrubby character its stupid…
cvs2 cammy duh.
Just mash random shit and you is teh win
ah…another thread of ‘who do i hate losing to’. and yes, the lack of 3s yun is appalling. just because he takes more button inputs doesn’t neccessarily mean he requires the most skill. casual play and above, he’s just complete autopilot.
Cable…
anyone who masters Venom or Dizzy definitely deserves some respect.
I’ve heard a lot of people talk about Chunli has a weak mixup game, and her jump ins are ass… etc etc, but the thing is - she doesn’t need them! The fact that she doesn’t need them means it takes less things you need to know to win with her. Being good with Ken means utilizing all of his tools, which takes more skill than what it takes to win with Chunli.
I agree with Yun not being on there is BS. His SAIII is complete fucking homo. Activate Geneijin, rushdown random high/lows, catch them in the combo, juggle, get half your meter back, flip back and c.strong/dive until you get your meter full. Rinse, repeat. He might as well have that thing activated the whole damn round.
But still looking at it, I honestly think Chunli takes the least amount of skill to use. What’s the hardest thing you have to learn with her? Kara throw? Learn the range on her normals?
okay GGXX slayer should not be in because all he has is that infinite bite and invisible dash. theres really nothing to him.
Sol on the other hand should really be on the list. All toronto Sols suck, but Sols in China and Hk and Japan could fuck anyone up. He has no weakness at all.
The hardest character to use effectively in the game is a scrubby character ??? THAT’s making a lot of sense…
ST Akuma, obvs
3s Chun
3s Ken
CVS2 cammy
CVS2 Sagat
ST Sagat
ST Vega
T5 Steve
ggxx/ggxx #r Eddie
A3 Sak
right off the back eddie’s is the harder’s top tier to play. the other charater’s are all to easy to play. i don’t no why you have vega up there it should be st balrog and you forgot blanka, cable and nak cvs1.
CVS2 Cammy…2 buttons is all you need.
i hear o.sagat is easy mode
Good. I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks that.
For 3rd Strike it’s Chun all the way. At least you have to have some timing skill for Yun. For Chun its b+HP, dMK -> Super for the win.
man you people are some fucking scrubs…shit. ALMOST everyone in this thread has no idea what theyre talking about. Sagat in cvs2 easy? are you fucking kidding me? he is the top tier that needs the most technical skill and good footsies in that game and not just bullshit cheap rc a groove shit, besides chun-li. to win with sagat in cvs2 vs good people you need good footsies, good reactions, and pretty good execution too because even his short, short is a 2 frame link.
3s chun may be simple, but that doesnt translate into free wins, yeah she has good normals, but you need good defense not to get rushed the fuck down after a corner knockdown or something.
CvS2 cammy is pretty simple as well, but I think you need to specify which groove cammy. p/k has alot more bullshit than the other grooves for cammy at least. but without p/k its pretty hard to fight fireballs(especially rced) sometimes, because her jump sucks so much, and her rolls/rcs do too.
3s ken, you need good footsies at least to win with ken if youre playing anyone decent who doesnt use totally shit characters. while his ground game is strong if youre good, its still tough for him to deal with chun’s ground game. ken has the least bullshit out of all the top 3, why do you think hes become less and less popular? there were NO kens in the top 8 at evo and like 4 chuns and 2 yuns.
While I don’t think Eddie is really classified with everyone else in that list, people here DO have to understand that Eddie is ALL training mode. Trust me on that. IF you have any kind of technical ability at all, all it takes is practice. He has a steep learning curve, but once you’re there, it’s hard to be inconsistant with him. All of the magic happens for you because of the nature of his attacks. Eddie’s only saving grace is that he requires a lot of time to learn. Even then, to be really good with him, you have to know how to fight against someone who knows how to fight a good Eddie.
I like what you said about Ken, Eps. He seems to be a complete character, whereas he has everything he needs to be strong, but not overpowered. Chun and Yun on the other hand, are whre they are 90% beacuse of the supers they’re given. That might sound scrubby, but where would Chun be if her SA2 bar was as long as Shin-Sho, and she only got one stock? Or, if Yun’s SA3 bar drained twice as fast/he lost it anytime someone tapped him? Arguably, if someone “taps” Yun it’s going to be in a way that gets him the fuck off of you, and by that time, GJ has worn off.
Also, if a character is “skill-less”, the game is broken. With all of these characters, you actually have to know what you’re doing to the degree of formulating a well-rounded strategy. It really just boils down to who’s tearing about who in what game.
Anyway, continue.
I think about it like this: is a complete #r noob gonna get the basics of Eddie within a day? No. Is a complete 3s noob gonna be able to do GJ combos within a day? Probly not.
On the other hand, complete noobs will definitely be able to learn most of Cable’s, Chun’s, and Cammy’s best moves/combos/strats within a day. I vote Cable, but I wish SC2 Xianghua was an option.
It’s gotta be Cable or Xianghua. Idiot characters to the extreme.
Maybe against other scrubs you’re going to be win easily.
But I doubt against any good players, I doubt you can spam those c. HP or c. mp all day.
I think DUO LON is fucking easy even at high level
i vote for all… because well, they are all cheap and easy to learn. lol
