I have come to appreciate Alpha 3 more as time has gone by, but 2 is still tops. Alpha 2 with a few of Alpha 3’s characters and upgraded movesets would be a true finale for the series!

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is the greatest fighter (KOF 97 and KI reboot comes close) simply because of how uniquely “broken” it is.
The ism mechanic is ingenious.

For me? Street Fighter Alpha 2. It was great for footsies plus in my opinion it was smoother than Alpha 3. However Alpha 3 had one of the best announcers in ANY Street Fighter Game. I preferred Street Fighter IV’s announcer but still.
