Which partner best Suits Juri: Combos and character order

juri/julia here. i feel like i should drop julia cause i really want a character with a 3 frame jab. but we’ll see…rolento is giving me hell

yea, when rolento gets up close it can be challenging for juri. but the match isn’t as hard as you may think. just bait slide with either neutral jumps or backdash’s and never mash during his frame trap ( no reason to anyway since throws are ass ). playing defensive with a mixture of zoning handles rolento quite well imho.plus, once juri go on the offensive rolento just folds because his defensive options suck. now rufus in the other hand is trouble.

I’ve been playing Cammy/Juri, in that order, and I find this team to work really well.
Juri should be on 2nd in any team imo, and she works best with characters that have shoryukens or specials that launch them high up like Nina or Law.

What tag combos do you have with Cammy/Juri?

I have this, simple to use, not sure if it’s optimal :

From Juri BNB: HK Senpusha xx tag (asap) Cammy > j.HK > cl.HP xx Spike xx tag Juri > 2HP jc j.HP > HP xx Senpusha. (does more dmg than going straight to Super with 2bars)

From Cammy BNB: Spike xx tag Juri > 2HP jc j.HP > HP xx Store(hk) xx tag Cammy > 2HP > far.HP xx Spike.

I use the same ones

Hk.pinwheel tag cancel and Hk. Store tag cancel feel like universal starters for pretty much everyone in he cast but having someone setup a tag cancel for her to be able to do her cr.hp jc jf.hp, cl.hp, pinwheel tag combo feels like the deciding factor for good tag cancel synergy.

ken and juri have to be the king of punishment for one bar. dp get punished by st hp xx lp dp, HP dp tag cancel, cr hp jc J hp, cl hp, lk pinwheel. this punisher nets you around 490. and it you land a jump in and do this combo, its over 500.

If you end with Store(hk) + Release it does a bit more damage than lk Senpusha (and a little better for another tag), like Senpusha the 2nd hit doesn’t add damage reduce from what I tested.

ok nevermind what i said. juri/julia is just beastmode. juri is eventually gonna have an easy launcher off a fireball combo, which brings in a big combo into TS and then julia is ready to start her mixup.

match-up wise, if they need to be kept out or out farther than julias cr.mk, juri is in. if they cant keep people off them, julia is in and just gonna hit confirm to her mix up (that is VERY underrated right now).

the good thing is that as you all know, juri can also rush like the crazy bitch she is. and as i now believe, julia can hold her own against anyone with her solid health, lk.dp that is perfect for mashing through stupid tekken high/low if you need, and amazing backdash. throw in her full screen trap that prevents free tag ins in a big way, and she is hard to get away from cause you can just spin/jump around fireballs if they want to play that.

this team is REALLY diverse and high damage prone. its almost easy mode. im goin to bed still on a 25 win streak tonight that got me to c+ lol and i dont do stuff like that. if any juri players wanna find a good partner, learn julia well and put her on anchor

I have been having a lot of fun with the Kazuya/Juri team. I feel like the both can cover each others weaknesses and when you get a hit in the corner and have one bar laying around for a tag cancel… oh man

yeah im probably playing kazu/juri. idk what tag combos to do though.

I just picked up Juri today and paired her up with Kazuya (my main since Tekken 5 ^^). I tried meshing some of their combos together to see what I could come up with. This is what I got so far. I don’t think they’re properly optimized so I was hoping I could get some help with that too:

**Kazuya **j.MK, cr.HP, qcb+LP [tag cancel] Juri cr.HP jc j.HP land cl.HP xx qcb+LK (440 damage)

**Juri **j.MK, cr.HP release fireball cr.MK xx qcb+HK [tag cancel] Kazuya walk forward st.HP xx mist step LP, MK/d+MK (443 damage)

I know I’m relying too much on jump ins or punishes with cr.HP. Sometimes with Kazuya I poke with cr.MK and confirm the qcb+LP into the same tag cancel combo for around 400 damage.

Sometimes I cancel my cr.MK to mist step MP/HP and confirm that to the tag cancel with the same Juri followup. I get around 380 damage off this, so there must be a way to optimize it…

For the Juri/Cammy combos, here is a little damage improvement (compared to what I had posted) :
… tag (Juri) 2hp jc j.hp cl.hp xx store(hk) xx tag (Cammy) > cl.HK jc j.HP > cl.MP xx Cannon Spike.
Tried to replace cl.MP with cl.HP but doesn’t seem to work.

Teamed up with a Zangief player I know, and Juri/Zangief actually isn’t a bad team. Once Juri is in, or they get in if you’re the one zoning. Get that knockdown and Zangief does the business.

I play Juri/Hwoarang as a main, always getting really good damage, especially with the gimmicks that howarang has.

for example:

Hwoarang- j.mp(either crosses over or doesnt) -> s.mp -> s.lp (Overhead)-> cr.mp or cr.mk or stand.hk -> H.Hunting Hawk -> mp:mk(TAG asap) -> (Juri) EX.pinwheel Charge(into super), roughly maxes out with 571 DMG is done right OR you can always get ur setup for charging fires balls w/ cr.hp ->j.hp->cr.mk-> either l.fuhajin, m.fuhajin, l.senpusha, or super(burning all your meter)

If you wanted to go the other way starting with juri we can do something very similar,

Juri(with either 1 store, 2 store, or no store(if not store skip all the fireball points))- j.mk (crosses or not) -> cr.hk ->release->cr.mk->release->cr.mk->h.senpusha->mp:mk(TAG you have time to spare doing it if done too early) -> (Hwoarang) cr.mk or cr.mp -> EX.Hunting Hawk -> j.hk -> h.Sky Rocket(Semi-Strict Timing)

(After the EX.Hunting Hawk you can just lead into h.sky rocket but lose some damage but be more safe in the match.

The damages are very meaty and work nicely :]
Hopefully this does people good using this team.

juri/kazuya has swag combos at least! for now…

Okay, I see I have some work ahead of me, going to have to practice this. I wasn’t sure what to do after a Spike, didn’t think about cr.HP jc HP.

I’m liking Cammy/Juri, Juri/Kuma and Cammy/Kuma right now, but still trying to get a better grip on Kuma. Julia’s making more sense lately too, as opposed to day 2 when I tried to play her.

Any suggestions in synergy combos off of tag cancels and launchers?

With who as a partner?

Any thoughts on her being teamed up with Dhalsim? I’m kind of interested and would love to hear opinions.
