I don’t see the Guile : Kano parallel. Kano reminds me more of Blanka with a projectile, honestly. Kano, like Blanka as well, relies more on gimmicks above all else I feel.
I picked up Stryker for the exact reason that he plays like Guile. Strong zoning and spacing control, and needs decent usage of normals rather than specials to AA and footsie other characters.
Jokingly, his wakeup game even sucks like Guile in SF4. His neutral 4 is strikingly(no pun) similar to Guile high kick(Down-Forward HK in SF4).
I think the reason we all find kano like guile is because he has a knife/sonic boom, an upball/flashkick, and an air throw. All the tools that make guile a powerfull turtler also make kano a powerful turtler.
I don’t play Kano but I think I might agree with most of you guys as far as the guile comparison goes. My first guess was Johnny Cage with his anti-air and fireballs.
In fact I’ll say that Kano is Blanka/Guile and Johnny Cage is Guile/???.
it’s not about what moves look like guiles, it’s about how the character plays. just becuase kano has balls doesn’t mean he plays anything like blanka. He plays so much like a shoto or a guile character it’s crazy.
Yup, I’ve said Kano was most like Guile. Probably the fastest recovering projectile in the game, and a great anti air.Yeah, Kano is definitely the most like Guile.
SubZero is best when played with adaptability, His Zone game isn’t that great IMO, it’s all about the ice-clones, and his rush down is severely underestimated.
For some match up’s with sub you cant just setup shop you have to get in their and get your hands dirty.
