I am thinkiong of buying a Mortal Kombat game, an old one. Which one does everyone here think is better? Mortal Komabt Deception or Armageddon?

So the choice is shit or shit? Tough call. Either way, you lose. You’re better off with some older shit (mk2, umk). Don’t get me wrong: it’s still shit…it just doesn’t stink as bad.

Bad design? They’re just very poorly made and boring fighters with no depth or real quality to them.

Everyone’s favorite is MK2, the one with the most competitive following is UMK3. In my opinion the best 3D MK was Deadly Alliance.

Most of the MK games are too gimmicky to be taken seriously, whichever one you choose to play; I suggest you get together with your friends and have a laugh or a nostalgia trip. Just don’t try to make it more than it is:wgrin:.

MK2 by a large mile. But if you wanna go retro, you got a lot of other good fighters to go with instead.

umk3 nightwolf is pretty damn fun

to bad you still have to almost totally unlearn everything you know about fighting games to play

MKD has more infinites that characters have special moves, MKA has almost as much with air cancel. Both also have a ton of bugs.
Basically its like
MKD = alpha version of game. I saw a lot of people arguing does it have the right to be called “fighting” at all.
MKA = beta version of game (also houses “Create an Infinite” mode called “Create a Character”)
MKDA = completed game, still isnt too deep but at least not broken
MKSM = not a fighting though, but you can infinite in VS mode
