the worst part is he says: I like MVC2 but the combos in tekken and sc2 were 2 hard :confused: :xeye: :shake: wtf. seriously.

Ain’t nothing hard about dash punching and even then combo enders for T5 juggles can be done without the jabs and you get just as much damage (you simply miss out on the spacing).

why don’t you go back to basics and play SF2. Seriously. SF2 is still the greatest fighting game ever made. Simple on the outside and deep on the inside. Doesn’t require high levels of execution neither.

I believe that I asked for video game suggestions, not fucktarded critques on my opinions. I don’t “just play the games and find out” because 1. they cost money and 2. my PS2 is not modded, so couldn’t play these games even if I wanted. When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me, you ass.

For the record, I was shoryuken-good at MvC2 and I have not met anyone to date who can beat me at Tekken5. However, I can tell you (already told you), that I am not interested in playing another Tekken. I am sorry for thinking that a different franchise - VF4 - might play differently.

And Kyokuji, if you really think that Dual Blades sucks, then you must really be simple in the head not to understand the wonderful intricacies of the game. You must live under a fucking rock to not know that. See the Dual Blades thread by HAMMER FRENZY.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions so far. I’ve been checking out videos for those games, and I’d think that I would really like them if I could import. Maybe I’ll check out Alpha Anthology. I played SFA for GBA and it was pretty good. Otherwise, it’s looking like KoF '06 for now (which may not be so bad).

Can you, um…RENT games to see what’s your speed rather than just making a thread saying “make up my mind for me”?

Don’t you have access to competition that might already being playing these games? If you don’t why would you want to learn a game without comp?

This is a suggestion thread, not a “decide for me” thread. BTW again, my PS2 is not modded for import games, and my local rental doesn’t have them anyway.

QFT. Just trying to learn about what’s out there without droping cash willy nilly.
