I don’t know about my other two votes but I know for sure my first choice is Panzerfaust. I dug his design when we first saw it ages ago. When they said they got some gameplay inspiration from the action in Big O I was sold. Big O is my second favorite anime period so I’m now horribly biased. Not to mention the dude just sounds like a BAMF.
After watching the latest Salty Cupcake stream, i’d have to say

Idk i just have a problem with little non mutant girls that dont look like they can fight, in fighting games.
My personal favorites are:
Panzerfaust: just a big looking dude… And what is that? A tank on his arm? Wow… He has to be in just to blow some stuff up.
Dahlia: another zoner is needed imho and she looks like her bomb assassin style could be really interesting
From there its a tie between:
Ileum… Just looks like her style is really interesting… Disgusting character though and her premiss is boring as well: freak with a heart… Never heard that one before. Bah, still very interesting playstyle though, but id like her more if she just you know… Looked her part, ie a freak that is a freak… Not some ugly character with a heart of gold.
Isaac… A smart nigga that can manipulate time? Seems pretty nice to me. But i still have reservations cause of his overall bland looking sprite… I hope this dude knows how to based number swag his shit up. Science has him looking like sanford and son right now…
Regina: i dont know, she kinda just reminds me of elizabeth from kof… And i love kof elizabeth, plus she has beasts and stuff plus a quicksword… One of the more interesting characters imho… Problem is:

A perfect compliment to my painwheel? An all flight team? 2 sentinel style characters? DOES IT GET ANY BETTER?
Not really, unless the big robot made his own appearance, but hive looks REALLY COOL to me, all kinds of movement options and walldives… Kinda like a hovering vega, Problem:
I dont think she will get many votes cause of the walldive stuff (how many characters have we seen with walldive style mechanics…answer… MANY) and the fact that theres already a flight character in the game.
Feng: just looks like she could be a sweet rushdown character…her litheness seems to intuit a certain agility she could bring to the battlefield.
Yu-wan: a wolverine charcter with an interesting story and personality? Yeah i llike this dude, seems to be a quintessential rushdown with some other elements thrown in to keep him from being bland. Id love to see his character sprite going all chopsuey on some mofos…shit would be sick… He looks like a little ball of pain… One of his inspirations should be tasmanian devil imho… Cause tazzie devil is awesome and so is yu-wan.
Holy dicks, we’re getting two mysterious DLC characters instead of just one.
1.) Samson (I know I know, but I think it would be interesting to see what he could do)
2.) Panzerfaust (It’s already been said. The n***a has a tank on his arm. /thread)
3.) Brain Drain. (Looks really cool and I would love to see more concepts or a demo of how he would play)
*Not gonna lie I didn’t have mudh interest in SkullGirls until I seen the concept art and gameplay ideas for the dlc characters. I’m fully onboard with the new offerings and expanding the roster has greatly improved my interest. Not to mention now we get 2 fan voted characters. With that said here’s the characters :

Black Dhalia: Love the design. Another zoning character sounds wonderful and her being based off of Cable and Hol Horse gives me a wonderful image in my head of the type of lockdown and zoning pressure she’ll have.

D. Violet: I’m getting a Whip/Ivy meets Anarkis feel from the description. I absolutely love Whip in KOF2002 and seeing a rendition of that character but with some touchups sounds amazing. I’m highly interested in the stances her whip could take and what sort of properties would change with it’s different forms. I love me some space control.

Taliesen: His potential gameplay sounds fascinating. I wonder what type of high lows and staggered strings you could get with his doll/guitar and a good assist. Also interesting is being able to combine with the doll instead of always being forced to set it up. Not to mention I love his design.

Isaac/Aeon: Good god his moveset sounds ridiculous. His character design is rather bland but his potential more than compensates for that. I like Aeon’s design much more but her potential moveset doesn’t intrigue me as much as Isaac.
I’m also seriously considering voting for Beatrix, Q Brain Drain and Eliza. The potential characters really has me excited. *

she can manipulate time: freeze, slow, haste. She can call instances from the past, summonig a copy of you and herself from the past (like a time echo) while you’re still trying to fight her. She probably also has a move that causes your moves to go in reverse, from recovery to startup. Would be hillarious to see cerebella quick moonwalking to an inverted ram’s charge.
*Don’t get me wrong they still sound intriguing. But as someone who has played too many shitty connection matches on ggpo with false KO’s and time rewinds I’m not exactly titillated with having that being a big basis for a character. *
