Which characters do online latency help the most?

Advantage

Jin: Hard to get out of ice 100%.
Nu: Hard to IB her shit 100%.

Big disadvantage

Tao: Timing on 85% of her combos offline isn’t bad, but online, I drop some of her basic throw combos 50% of the time. Shit is annoying.

why work so hard? Drop a curses until you get the homer and the flower curse attack while mashing random buttons. Once one curse lands, it’s impossible to get out with lag

I think that if you are playing a good nu online you aren’t going to fair well regardless of the lag, too many swords. But speeking as a person learning nu the lag makes timing the air combos almost impossible. There are things that i can do offline almost with out thinking that never come out right online… And if you throw the wrong sword it goes from a semi safe move to somthing dangerous because you don’t have the time to block or run. That said I still have promlems dealing with Tager… :sweat:

I’ve always said that people can’t truly appreciate lag in BlazBlue until they’ve played with Taokaka. o_O

Without even taking into account the fact that her drive cancels are 3F links that vary each time you do them (based on distance/hitboxes, etc.); the simple fact that her BnB drive loops are the only way she really deals damage means that even a single dropped combo can cost her an entire round.

Once you get someone into the air, your hits have to be damn near perfect in order to continue the loop – which is never a problem offline (you can actually just play with them in the air). But when you go online and have to predict when your hits will come out, then adjust the rest of your combo based the timing and spacing of the previous hit, things get much more difficult.

I’ve given up trying to drive loop Jin online with:

5B, 3C, D -> C, D -> C, D -> A, C [JC] C [JC] C xx 236BB

simply because of how late you need to delay the first j.C in order to put you both at the right height for the second j.C (also slightly delayed). 60% of the time I’d just end up landing on the ground in front of him and losing one of the precious few opportunities I’d have to deal damage.

:frowning:

/rant

nobody is blocking wind mixups online

I am not a good player but latency sometimes kills some of my attack timing. Given I am not that great yet sometimes my moves don’t come out like I wanted them to online where they come out just fine in singleplayer.
