I cannot understand the hate for Seth. Seth requires alot of skill to win with, one mistake and they are losing more than 50% of their life. Also, seth players cannot spam any attack… they are not defensive turtle scrubs like dalsim players. They are going to attack you, if you cannot counter them, they are simply better than you.
I’m maining Gief and I always love to play against Seth. AND I love playing Seth alot since some weeks. Seth is awesome, I love his tools, even if I lose, it’s fun.
Back 2 topic:
#1: Blanka Blanka Blanka… his electric is the most annoying action in the whole game. It’s even easier and more lame than Giefs Lariat.
#2: T-Hawk: Nearly save specials combined with the annoying gief like grabs. No skill required. Does he have any bad matchup besides blanka?
#3: Dalsim and Guile: Their Fireball-Turtling is annoying as hell. Well, I cannot jump at Dalsim, his **cking knee gets me everytime.
#4: Bison: Like mentioned before: The games are always the same. Boring as hell.

No, i used to play sim and i liked him, now i switched from him to dudley and i still like the matchup, is one of those matchup which requires more brain than execution, more strategy than random rushdown…

basically you are saying dhalsim should rush you down or play close range instead of throwing fireballs fullscreen even when his normals close range are ass. Specially against a gief player. Perfect sense.

maybe you are judging this from your experience and you find it difficult to adapt to. idk. I feel like people shouldn’t complain about a way a character HAS to be played. I hate seth with a passion and he can rushdown / play mid/close Rose to death. I don’t care about his ability of rushing me down. what I don’t like its that I have to deal with 7 different options everytime he knocks me down.
Considering you main Gief yeah the fight is gonna be the same. I will try damn hard to keep you out with normals cause things will go very badly if I don’t.
it isn’t armor breaking unless done as a reversal as most moves are.
If you are getting hit by wakeup electricity one of 3 things are happening
a) you are trying to use an ambiguous setup that isn’t meaty
b) you don’t know how to use meaties
c) you don’t understand that electricity isn’t invincible
I have no idea how your armor would get broken by it though, are you trying to meaty focus attack him or something.

I slightly dislike every matchup that isn’t Sagat Ryu or Ryu Ryu. I’m not even Trolling. Sad thing is I play Sakura.
While gief needs to rush someone down, hawk is just waiting for mistakes. Of cause, there are some good players around who condor dive -> grab. But many hawk players just neutral jump all day… you know what I mean.
@Sim: I’m playing gief, ken, seth, honda, sagat. I was not writing down my opinion as a gief only player. Sim players have to turtle, I know that. But I hate turtlers in general. A turtle game is boring and kills my patience. I don’t say you should try to rush down with Sim (would be nice to see :D), it’s not you, it’s Sim who sucks.
yea cybah, id just kindly walk away from this one… the very fact that you don’t mind seth tells me all i need to know about your skill level, the rest was just gravy. I used to not mind seth either. Find the key word and you win a prize!
