Like the only thing 80% of the cast can’t do in this list is punish jumping back from full screen. No character can punish almost everything, but if you have Super and Ultra loaded all day long with a charge, Chun’s probably the closest to it. Claw and Fei are probably the most realistic when it comes to punishing since they can whiff punish like nobody else can and have long range, relatively fast moves.
Full screen fireball punish on reaction online with Claws U1. It really only works on people with no matchup xp though. Good for getting hatemail.
I hate running into him just for the fact that when I do,I don’t know what the hell to do because he is probably my least played match up in the game. I can count the number of Honda’s I’ve ran into online all throughout SF4 since vanilla on one hand. lol
You don’t need to go thru lots of online matchup. Just imagine this (or set this during training mode):
~Headbutt 4x in a row~…AKA headbutt spam.
Try to solve 'em…then you know why I hate honda.
So which one? Hate blanka ball linkup? or blanka ball spam?

hmmm honda’s headbutt was always that way in every game he appeared. Don’t know why it should be different in AE 2012
- L headbutt = -9 on block
- M headbutt = -13 on block
- H headbutt = -16 on block
- EX headbutt = -8 on block
Lots of characters have tools to deal with it. If you get knocked down once, stop pressing forward while getting up and press back while waiting for the next headbutt instead. You won’t eat 4x headbutt in a row

Now after playing the game for a week…I can say, Guile is easily who I dislike the most. Not because he is the hardest to defeat, overpowered, anything like that. It’s just man…Guile is so defensive, instant recovery off his fast sonic booms, it is always a tedious, long, boring match up of patience. It is the only match up where I just don’t have fun, and actually get bored.
Heh, I can see playing Juri has taken its toll.
But anyway, I feel like when you can read your opponent’s exact next move, but cannot counter it effectively without doing something thats extremely risky is pretty bad game design for FGs. Of course within certain context it is ok, like getting the knockdown, but with some characters the reward is too much.

LP and EX Headbutt are 100% safe against Cody. Just wanted to point that out. Cody has nothing he can do to punish them on block. A MK Ruffian will reach but it’ll be blocked and Cody will be at a disadvantage.
And Cody has nothing he can do to wakeup crossup or not buttslams. Even if they weren’t meaty, Cody’s HK Ruffian is pretty terrible for anything that close, plus it actually increases the size of Cody’s hurtbox during the startup (try using HK Ruffian to beat Sagat doing a forward jump MP, if you don’t start the ruffian before the peak of Sagat’s jump his MP will stuff the move or trade a good 50-70% of the time. And B-MP obviously wont work on a meaty buttslam, plus as good of an AA as it is, it often whiffs on crossups.
I’m shocked people still complain about Honda. He’s an honest character.
Blanka. And of course he has to be T.Hawk’s worst match up to add insult to injury.

Guile’s SB is nuts, duck is worth shit and strategy in Guile vs. Dud comes down to get it and wait for him to fuck up so you can actually do damage.
Chun Li is also a downer with her giant ass normals that seem to stuff every poke I can make.
Honda and Blanka are pretty much in the same boat with lots of lateral control with headbutt and ball that can be hard to punish online as well as mashable specials that can shut down any footsies I’m trying.
Seth and Vega are the pair of all over the place mix/cross-up mainstays that just become frustrating.
Viper is really annoying because for some reason whenever I play a Viper her Seizmo seems to be the only projectile that can stuff Duck for some god-awful reason.

Well he also has incredibly low stamina, awful walk speed, and his divekick has a pretty trash hitbox. I do agree he probably destroys the majority of XBL but he hasn’t been incredibly effective in the high level scene outside of a player or two.
lol Im pretty sure that duck is projectile invincible only at the top, his feet are completely vulnerable.
I know EX Duck has full invincibility on the upper body but I haven’t seen the boxes specifically for Duck but I don’t think that’s the case since I can still Duck through low Tiger Shots from Sagat. My running theory is that Seizmo is physical like Ibuki’s Kunai except you can’t counter hit it out of the air.

He spam torpedo headbutt all the time (even in wakeup)…since his buttslam crossup was failed (got blocked and thrown).
Well I got nothing to do except blocking…i try to ruffian him away, but he block at the very last toprd.headbutt frame.
Unfortunately he just won on cheapblock … yet, he was so proud of it by text me back:
