Which do they mean?
I always assumed they meant just the default controller or is that just unfathomable?
I think it can mean either, although it usually refers to the default gamepad.

Yeah, as said before those are both pads, but the second one is (obviously) more tailored for fighting games. So if you had to choose one or the other it would probably the second if you couldn’t afford an arcade stick or something.
They refer to Maxie pads. Guaranteed to stop salty tears instantly so everyone can have more fun.
Agreed when referring to pads they mean Maxie pads! Seriously though I think it’s funny I have a friend that cannot stand the fightpads, he’ll only play stick or default pad…and when I mean “default pad” I mean super absorbent Maxi pads with wings!
Y’know, I just noticed that if someone walked into a fighting game conversation at the wrong time and only heard people (males, specifically) talking about people playing with their sticks and not being able to stand pads, they might get the wrong idea.
