I’m an IT Tech at a College. Pay isn’t exactly the best but I earn more than enough for my lifestyle and it’s a really safe and secure job so definitely not complaining. It also has a beast pension! Huzzah for the Government. My day to day stuff is just supporting lecturers that dunno how to use computers lol and dealing with daily server stuff. I also have projects running, databases seem to be my speciality really. All in all, I enjoy it and not everyone can say that about their job.

How is it working as an animator? I like drawing and I’m interested in getting into animation.
It really depends. When I first started out it had little contacts, so not a lot of work was coming in. Plus, I had to work freelance and the tax people love to take a big ol’ bite out of your earnings.
Now I know quite a lot of people and I get more of an inside scoop on what projects are coming up, so that’s cool. That film I posted was on a salary basis too, so I was living the good life for a while.
All in all, it’s a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of interesting people. It’s easy to lose your mind when you take it very seriously though. I’ve had my share of nervous breakdowns and I’ve only been working in animation for 5 years or something. But the goods outweigh the bads by far, so go for it!

I’m a satellite and terrestial communications technician.
I sell, stock, lift and drink booze for a living. The liquor store life is very, odd.
Wait a minute. I get teh first three, but people pay you to drink?!
Also, since you’re a liquor store owner and I’m a gullible, uneducated European, do you have to worry about robberies a lot, or have you been robbed a lot? All you hear about American liquor stores is they get robbed.
I don’t own it. I’m just a major floor guy. But being as how I just passed a basic sommelier’s class, I get to sample wine. On the job.
Ahhhhh, nice! I’m not a big wine guy, but that sounds like fun.
I also once showed up at work, hungover, yet still buzzed from the previous night. I got in 2 hours late, then left about a half hour later, severely pissing off the boss. Couldn’t even draw a circle anymore. Never did that again. (I was feeling a bit miserable the night before and people went out for Halloween drinks so I tagged along. Them white russians go down fast, lol)

I do customer service for my Uni’s computer labs and I deliver for pizzahut. $8/$7.25 an hour respectively. But PHut gets me tips! :bgrin: Except when I deliver to student dorms :lol:
