The darkstalkers stage thats on the side of a building, that one was awesome.
This.
The A3 variant is great too, the way it syncs with his intro and all, and his theme was pretty damn sweet in that game too.
some other stuff thats great (Basing this on both stage + music):
ST: England, Las Vegas
GGAC: Grove
Tekken 5: Moonlight Wilderness, Polar Paradise
CVS2: Kinderjik
3S: Russia
Naruto GNT: Konoha Gates (Night)
Melty Blood: Aoko, V.Akiha, Miyako levels
KOF MI2: Fleur de Lis
…And a shitload of stuff from KOF and Garou.
Level favoritism is fun. Gotta love the “Why the hell do we always fight here?” reactions from others.
Also, every training mode level is fail. 3D WIREFRAME DANGER ROOM does not = good, I hate that shit.
Huh? Never heard of this before.
Fighter’s History Dynamite - Ox Stage
alpha ken stage or charlie
bourbon street
its cool cuz i know the exact spot they looked at when they made that stage
This and,
SF2T - Bisons stage - For some reason I love the music, and him throwing the cape off like a badass.
Tekken 5 - Devil Jin stage
3rd S - Dudley Stage
MK 1 - The pit stage - FINISH HIM… ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh splat. Never gets old. ( You can also see Santa, and E.T. in the background
MK 1 - The stage where the audience is watching you and claps at the end. I saw this when I was like 7 at the arcade. It was epic at the time.
MK II - Living Forest. Was just creepy
Man there are too many stages with good music to list…
Cammy’s Super Turbo Stage
Island(Virtua Fighter 5): It’s just an amazing looking environment. I love the waterfall in the background and the sounds of the creatures in the distance. It’s great.
River(Virtua Fighter 5): Granted, this stage existed before VF, but Soulcalibur III is an unplayable piece of shit, so who cares? The idea of haphazardly tossing your opponent into the water, making them pray they can grip the raft again, is just too good.
Temple(Virtua Fighter 5): A lot of VF5 stages, but that’s because VF5 is awesome and I want to do naughty things to Vanessa Lewis. I have a weakness for the Japanese cliche of cherry blossom petals falling from the sky, and it shows because I always pick this damn stage. >_<
Frigate Orpheon(Smash Bros. Brawl): Just because it’s a Metroid Prime homage. No other reason really.
Colony(Guilty Gear XX Accent Core): Again with the fucking cherry blossoms. Also, Baiken is <3
May Ship(Guilty Gear XX Accent Core): Mmmm…jailbait.
final destination
ohhohohohohoho
From the top of my head…
SF2 & SSF2 - Ryu, Boxer, Cammy, T.Hawk, Blanka, Cammy stages
SFA1 - Nash and Ken stages
DS1 - Gallon stage
VS - Green Scream, Concrete Cave, Deserted Chateau, Red Thirst
MK2 - The Pit II stage
RS1 - Drive-in theatre
PJ - Ziggy Amusement Park
KOF2K - Korea stage
SF3NG & 2I - Dudley stages
SF33S - Yun & Yang stages
I’ve always been fond of T.Hawk’s BGM.
As for stages,
KI2…horrible game, but it had a few nice stages and BGM. TJ Combo and (forgets name) skullo.
I’ve always liked T4’s city street stage. BGM too.
CvS jungle/ruins (akuma stage), same with the BGM.
Yeah there were two hidden CVS1 stages, a temple one and a jungle one iirc.
My favourites:
CVS1: street stage. had nice puddle effects and shadows. Actually felt like a streetfight
SF3NG: Elena. Felt hot and vibrant
CPS2 SF2: Vega. great music and atmosphere, and that cage smashing down
MSH: Wolverine. Sick.
COTA: Cyclops. Danger room. never seen so much shizzle going down.
SF32i: Yun stage was tick. Really lively.
VS: side of a building stage and the stage on a train were boom.
KOF '94: Jungle plane crash stage. I think it was for the psycho soldiers team.
KOF '98: China stage has my fave BGM.
Korea, KoF '94
Lightning illuminating the silhouettes of the fighters = :lovin: The '95 Korea stage was even better, with only a slightly less impressive intro.
See also:
Anything from Art of Fighting 1-2, Samurai Shodown 1-2, Fatal Fury (except Wild Ambition and Real Bout 2), KoF '94-'96, Ninja Masters…
AoF1: Mickey (Downtown - back alley), Jack (Mac’s Bar)
AoF2: Yuri (Fitness Club)
SS1: Charlotte (Versailles)
SS2: Charlotte (Versailles), Neinhalt Sieger (in front of his king/the country’s army)
FF2: Wolfgang Krauser (cathedral)
FFS: Tung Fu Rue (mountains)
FF3: Hon-Fu (platform hanging from a crane - I think)
GGAC : Eddies, Axle and when u fight the same character bgm
3s: Kens/Alex, akumas, ibuki’s and Q’s
SFA3: guys, sakuras/Karins
put the volume on blast for all of them
oh yeah if this were to be in 3s for yun and yang

CvS2 Kinderdjik
3S Streets of NY(Ken)
Tekken 4 Underground
ST: England, best SF2 stage
A1: None, pretty bland stages.
A2: Gen (dark alley, puddles and reflections perfect), Sakura (backyard of her house!), Sagat’s secret stage
A3: Very bland stages but you did get to fight Dan in a schoolyard playground, ha!
COTA: Danger Room (My mouth dropped when I saw the room so radically change as you fought) Spiral’s Stage (how many breakable floors did this crazy stage have?!?)
SF3:NG: Afrika (the falling bridge, awesome)
SF3:3S: Mexico (awesome background music and the pretty ruins in the background)
Its not well known, but in arcade A2 you can select the stage you want to fight in during a versus challenge. If you challenge someone, all you have to do is highlight the character who’s stage you want to fight and hold start for a second and then select the character you want to choose. I’d often pick Gen’s stage during arcade match-ups.
Fatal Fury Team - kof '95.
Terry tosses hat, and it floats away … :o
A2 Australia.
Simply epic.
