Whats the plan for stream archives for Evo 2k11?

Search youtube.

I did. Thereā€™s only one part of it up. It cuts off during the MarlinPie/Floe match.

Are the late night streams going to be uploaded?

i didnā€™t realise no stream archives. iā€™m not able to stay up all night watching so iā€™m dissapointed not to be able to watch this for free at my convenience like most other tournaments. A big fuck you to whoever made it this way.

God UStream is so trash. Huge memory leaks up the ass. Chrome using 790k kb atm.

Which makes the pointless exhibitions so much more annoying, they really drag things out.
Like TTT2 after T6, when itā€™s basically the same game with new bkgs and tag.
3S online, when itā€™s just plain old 3S with no changes.
Iā€™d love if this sort of things was put at the end instead, so international viewers can see the good parts without giving up a whole nights sleep and a day of work.
Or make the exhibitions shorter.

I mean sure itā€™s fun to see a new game, but when it drags on like these it just gets very unhype and annoying. You just wanna see the real action.

SC5 was ok, they kept it shorter and to the point.

Yeah I get that on FF real bad too.

I had a solution, but the set up I was using kept crashing, Ustream ftwā€¦ I can cap 18+ hours of the open lobby for SRK on JTV/Twitch, but ustreams RTMP or whatever messes with me too muchā€¦

I am really enjoying the 3rd strike exhibition right nowā€¦ Awesome tournament all weekend !

And side noteā€¦ the IGN videos were taken away like a month or 2 after Evo, Iā€™d love to see someone make a DVD or a community project to produce a DVD set for the 2k11 set.

Iā€™m willing to do the work, just need the videoā€¦ but I swear to god (little ā€œgā€), if anyone involved is getting paid or they have a reason to not distribute the video, then we have no room to complain.

51k viewers on Ustream for the 3rd strike stuff right nowā€¦ WHOOP!

I had to watch the marvel stuff yesterday from 7 PM to 10 AM (!!!) at my place, because of no archive :frowning:

Keep in mind that the exhibitions are also there for the people who actually attending and participating at EVO. That (exhibitions, panels, documentary viewings, etc.) is likely the event organizerā€™s first intent. The stream monsters always come second.

Yeah, I know. Bear in mind Iā€™m posting this at 3:00.
But was anyone actually interested watching the 3s thing. Like was the crowd hype for that?
I mean the basic idea is fine, it just seemed to drag on forever. You know in that kinda awkward way.
Edit: I guess itā€™s useful for food break purposes

Except achievements (challenges, as they called them)ā€¦
How could we live for NEARLY 10 YEARS without achievements?
Oh god, this 3SO will be total shit.

I wonā€™t link to the accounts cause theyā€™ll prolly get taken down but there are people uploading every match as we speak.

Stop derailing my thread ! lolā€¦

I attempted to convert some captured flash video, but the RTMP thing from ustream locks it on a specific frame and i cant get past it, so the audio is going onā€¦ but the video is stuckā€¦ Iā€™ll wait to see what is posted as an archive, and see what I can make from that.

The deal with IGN was garbage IMO, I purchased 2006 and 2008 dvds from other members, but still need 2007.
What was the plan for 2009 ? - just a stream ?

Search on justin.tv. You will find complete videos of the stream 1 pools. Quality is quite low, though. :frowning:

easy peasy has his horrible purple tag on the screen as an overlayā€¦

There were multiple restreams (I found 2 of them yesterday).

Tell me you dont wanna re-live that Viscant vs PR ROG FINAL !

I wanna watch it every day for a monthā€¦

I thought it was overā€¦ and then it was reset ! - this is the next EVO momentā€¦ truth.

And we still have AE to go. Poongko vs Daigo! Get HYPE!

bump? anybody know what the deal with the ae archived footage is

Iā€™m hoping they post the complete series of matches and whatnot on youtube. Back when youā€™d see WNF recaps on Youtube and they were an hour and a half or so, something like that. I missed almost all of the Semiā€™s from AE, and all I ended up watching was Juicebox v. Tokido.

Itā€™s easy to find the Poongko/Daigo match on Youtube, but not many of them have Poongkoā€™s preparation(the red bull, the jacket, etc.). I think itā€™s stuff like that, that makes EVO matches that much more interesting. Just my take on it.
