Whats the plan for stream archives for Evo 2k11?

The entirety of Day 2 was archived into ONE SINGLE VIDEO yesterday. That’s over ten hours. Also, it is impossible to SKIP anything. You can’t go to the parts you missed and watch just that, because the video will just stop playing entirely and run an ad.

So, can anyone PLEASE upload the EC vs. WC 5 vs. 5 somewhere for me? I’m afraid to ask or look anywhere else because I don’t want the outcome spoiled.

i didn’t realise no stream archives. i’m not able to stay up all night watching so i’m dissapointed not to be able to watch this for free at my convenience like most other tournaments. A big fuck you to whoever made it this way.

I like the idea of a torrent or dvd. Especially because here in germany some matches “air” at around 4-5 AM which is not do-able on sunday -> monday because of obvious reasons like work

Which makes the pointless exhibitions so much more annoying, they really drag things out.
Like TTT2 after T6, when it’s basically the same game with new bkgs and tag.
3S online, when it’s just plain old 3S with no changes.
I’d love if this sort of things was put at the end instead, so international viewers can see the good parts without giving up a whole nights sleep and a day of work.
Or make the exhibitions shorter.

I mean sure it’s fun to see a new game, but when it drags on like these it just gets very unhype and annoying. You just wanna see the real action.

I had a solution, but the set up I was using kept crashing, Ustream ftw… I can cap 18+ hours of the open lobby for SRK on JTV/Twitch, but ustreams RTMP or whatever messes with me too much…

I am really enjoying the 3rd strike exhibition right now… Awesome tournament all weekend !

And side note… the IGN videos were taken away like a month or 2 after Evo, I’d love to see someone make a DVD or a community project to produce a DVD set for the 2k11 set.

I’m willing to do the work, just need the video… but I swear to god (little “g”), if anyone involved is getting paid or they have a reason to not distribute the video, then we have no room to complain.

Keep in mind that the exhibitions are also there for the people who actually attending and participating at EVO. That (exhibitions, panels, documentary viewings, etc.) is likely the event organizer’s first intent. The stream monsters always come second.

Yeah, I know. Bear in mind I’m posting this at 3:00.
But was anyone actually interested watching the 3s thing. Like was the crowd hype for that?
I mean the basic idea is fine, it just seemed to drag on forever. You know in that kinda awkward way.

I attempted to convert some captured flash video, but the RTMP thing from ustream locks it on a specific frame and i cant get past it, so the audio is going on… but the video is stuck… I’ll wait to see what is posted as an archive, and see what I can make from that.

The deal with IGN was garbage IMO, I purchased 2006 and 2008 dvds from other members, but still need 2007.
What was the plan for 2009 ? - just a stream ?

Search on justin.tv. You will find complete videos of the stream 1 pools. Quality is quite low, though.

I’m hoping they post the complete series of matches and whatnot on youtube. Back when you’d see WNF recaps on Youtube and they were an hour and a half or so, something like that. I missed almost all of the Semi’s from AE, and all I ended up watching was Juicebox v. Tokido.

It’s easy to find the Poongko/Daigo match on Youtube, but not many of them have Poongko’s preparation(the red bull, the jacket, etc.). I think it’s stuff like that, that makes EVO matches that much more interesting. Just my take on it.
