You know, I’ve said the same thing to some people I know in real life and they shot me down. Tourneys ain’t the place to learn the game, it’s where you show what you’ve got.
I don’t know if you’re saying you think this or your friends do but…
The brackets aren’t the only things that happen at tournaments. Tournaments venues are have tons of casual games going on so they’re a great place to go to see how people from different areas play and to get some pointers and practice. This is also great because if you lose early on it means there are still things to do while your there than rather just go home immediately.
Have to agree here, I have the xbox patch, and I planned to get into skullgirls, but didnt touched it since then. Because I know I cant just go online and play people like in SF2, it doesnt make sense, I have to “waste” a basic amount of time in training mode learning the combos, its a combo game, you cant just pick it up and play people, you will not get better like that.
I should have put the last part of my post in quotes. That’s more or less what was said to me.
I do remember having a short session with someone at Tekken 6 at last year’s CEO where he explained how I could get better. But that was unexpected. Usually people seem to be too busy to actually…“get into the game” more than simply play it.
