Funland is the only Canada region player who doesn’t teleport 120%, from distance in front of you 2 character length, into you’re already getting HP HP HP Shoryu into the devil, Denjin, full charge in half the frames cuz drops, then taunts you cuz he got a PERFECT feeling he’s so goodman. Funland Doesn’t do that.

Ryan’s list pretty much gets at what I was talking about. Like if you were to accurately describe the playerbase curve as a whole, those wouldn’t be the descriptions. The “average player” can’t be in the top 20% of the playerbase. if we take those numbers, your average player should be right on the dividing line between bad and below average. and there would probably be more divisions to describe the various levels of that bottom 50%.
but you can kind of tell that no one really thinks of it that way. I’m guessing most good people probably think of the players pretty much like Ryan described.
this post perfectly embodies the cha0sphere experience. if cha0sphere was a post, it would be him. except the Canada part of course. UK I hear. playing him is like being in a time machine. by the time you see his first dash the round is already over and he is taunting you.
no one thinks of it that way because you can’t really apply a bell curve to the entire population of 3s players… i think it would only really work for a specific subset of people who all meet the same criteria (e.g., have all played for the same number of years). not to mention that the categories themselves are limiting, and require some qualifying terms. like i would think an “average” player would not be able to do all his characters’ combos, and would be lacking in execution.

Suggest you start making your way down back to the continental US! Hit Vancouver, get to Seattle, then Sacramento, then San Francisco, onto SoCal. Texas should also still be good for 3s right?
UK guys, had a friend from old version that could handle UK connections, lil better arguably for high ping with slowing everyone down than GGPO does. Regardless, this dude RoleyBob leveled up way past me and was doing Instant Air EX Makoto Tsurugi, instead of just EX Oroshi for overhead. Should check out if he even owns this 3s:OE
The only good spot in TX for 3s is Austin afaik because of Fubarduck’s arcade. Not really sure if anyone would find much action in Sac town, Seattle or Vancouver either.

I’ve lived here since forever but I’ve been thinking about moving. for a variety of reasons of course, not just to get good at 3s. if I did move somewhere it’d probably be California, maybe Oregon or Washington.

It’s bad enough that the only green ping matches I get are with a small number of French guys, and not to mention the even more miniscule amount of “not so great” yellow ping matches with other UK players.
