I liked this ep, felt like it concluded fast as fuck even though the ending message was good.
Tom getting mad at Grandad asking him to phone his contacts. Tom gets pissed at the historical contradiction. Ruckus tells him Sarah bought his freedom. “IT’S BEEN REAL!” I couldn’t breathe.
That song during Huey’s fight gave me those hype feels.
In an alternate universe, I wish Caeser made his debut here. I could imagine a scenario where he and Ed III try to rescue the Freemans, and Huey seeing a true friend in him before delivering the “Freedom” line to Ruckus.

So the hater is checking in. Good episode, i lol’d. This is our first episode mainly focussed on huey educating the people, isnt it? Lol, this season is all over the place in quality, but regardless, this was a good episode. One for the library fo sho.

My major nitpick with the season so far is how they’re handling Ruckus.
He’s no longer the ignorant village idiot that no one takes seriously, and gets what he deserves.
Now he’s some kind of untouchable antagonist who gets away with bullshit for no reason.
That ain’t how it’s supposed to be.
In exchange Ruckus has been getting some classic lines/scenes though.

Easily the best Boondocks episode ever shown, indeed perhaps the perfect episode
The main theme freedom was analogus between how the slaves were treated to how lower classes are treated now to genius levels, like every scene of how hard the slaves got it, to how everybody gets it now was done so satirically but subtly obvious
Ruckus nearly stole the whole show for me with his comedy before I noticed he was just a plot device to make the viewer aware that minorities back in the day are treated just as the masses are treated now, like everybody is a bitch unless you got multi millions in the bank and you own peoples lives. Even Tom was there to make a great point, even today you have house niggas like RockB flying the white man flag (1%) to disarm everybody like a typical white guy in black skin, that everything is cool if you dont think about the real issues and just basicaly dont think at all.
References to junk food, junk tv, think i saw a AoT reference there, whole episode just rode out like mechwarrior in the SRK poltitcal thread
