What's going on at Capcom?

Asura’s wrath was awesome though

OMG disgusting! Yet somehow the shills / apologists are going to embarrassingly act like “it’s the still images!!!11111 it looks great in motion!!111!!! most beautiful animations in the biz!!!11111!!! ~xD~!!!##34341!!!11”

Are this people even find joy in what they are doing? Instead of doing what the usual beautiful faces they decide to make it different. It’s not even a fail attempt to replicate the previous design, because It’s more like the people handling this dislike how the characters usually looks like and really want to replace their faces and to look like somebody else.

It’s like Mahvel doesn’t need feedback, QA and Art Direction since its… it’s MAHVEL BABEEE

Anyone supporting MvCi in this thread are totally embarrassing themselves.

I’m not trying to fool anybody, by not listening to me you’re fooling your self, and possibly making your self feel like a dummy. I’m trying to explain to you what has happened in the development of this demo and why things don’t look great, it’s not hard to understand.

The Story Demo is an older build than the E3 build, it is a mish mash of obsolete or placeholder material slapped together to make a demo product that is in earlier beta stages and is based on material that is older than E3. It is not representative of the final product. Maxamillian had confirmed that the E3 floor build was slightly more polished and that that the word on the show floor was that the Story Demo is in fact old from an earlier stage of development.

You will love this game, you’re not going to feel like a dummy!

Only Mike Tyson can say all of that and still appear manly

What’s weird is the backgrounds in the demo look amazing, but then you look at the characters and they look like shit in comparison. Edit: lol @ the “i’m holding in a huge dookie” walk forward animation.

Put you’re mother in a straight jacked you punk ass white boy! Come here and say that to me and I’ll fuck you in the ass you punk white boy! You fa**ot!

Lmao!

he has lived an insane life.

and somehow he’s still going.
in a sense he’s reversed his course at least twice. once when he began learning to box, and then again like a decade or so ago when he reemerged into public life.

that documentary from 2008ish is worth seeing.
it’s incredible to go from being pretty much universally reviled to beloved.

this would be a better thread if it were about mike tyson.

As a side-note, I’ve heard his one-man show is awesome too.

If this was even close to the case (It’s not), can you go back and tell your boys at Capcom to release the real version of SFV then?

It had to be the game where Megaman X would see the light of day again… Capcom really needs to step their game up (this is a ridiculous understatement but seriously)!

Please explain how this is not the case? I’d rather listen to people who were on the E3 floor than some nobody in their bedroom with a camera and an opinion. The Story Demo is clearly and pretty much confirmed to be older than the E3 build, it contains a mismatch of beta cutscenes, final cutscenes, placeholder voice acting and has an engine that represents the game earlier on in its development.

If anyone’s played a development build of a game they’ll know this sort of stuff happens all the time when sent off for testing, place holder voice acting, concept cutscenes, unfinished engine, and more. In this case the demo was quickly hacked together from a bucket of resources just to put out a product to the public to advertise their overpriced DLC schemes.

That documentary is top tier.

Holy fuck  Not that people actually walk forward much, but goddamn. They could have at least just ported over MvC3 Chun’s animations like they did w/ Thor and Arthur…

Even if they are wildly different builds, releasing this one to the public was a mistake.

That I absolutely agree with!

Demo and prototype are really meant for criticism and feedback.

With the game releasing in such a short 3 months though…I’m not really sure Capcom will have time to make adjustments based on feedback. I’m sure they expected some negative feedback from the demo, but I don’t think they anticipated they would get blown up this hard, or they would have never released the demo in the first place.

The story demo is old, they’re not looking for feedback, they’re shamelessly advertising their DLC scheme. Yes releasing it was a mistake. The real demo used for feedback would be the E3 demo and whatever they have on the floor at Evo next month as that will be a genuine loc test.
