Marrow, Morrigan, Ruby Heart because I liked Marrow, I’ve always been a Morrigan fan and I liked Ruby Heart’s playstyle. Later I switched Marrow for Spiral because she was zounds better, then Morrigan for Iceman, and even later I switched Ruby for Gambit with expansion assist to form my first tourney team at some random putt-putt tourny. God, those were the days. :tup:
You know, it would be very fun to see an “original team tourney” just to see all the crazy teams that would be played.
Also, I’m seeing a stunning lack of Spider-man. I mean, he does whatever a spider can!
Omega Red /Cable /Zangief - for the first month then I went to Omega/ Cable / Cyclops , then to spiral / cable/ cyc/ to finally spiral/ cable / sentinel. Yes I’m stubborn - I don’t want to learn to many teams. One team is good enough.

I heard you actually picked Spiral by accident your first time but then decided that she was “pretty good.” Any truth to this?
At first when I didn’t even know how to do air combos, I had weird teams like Akuma/Charlie/Cammy.That might have been the first team that I ever picked when I first saw this game, and actually thought it was Street fighter Alpha 4:lol: I also had various Amingo/BB Hood teams just because I thought they were funny.
Guile/Jill/Psylocke, and Spider-man/Doom/Captain Commando or Cyclops were my beginner teams once I actually bought the dreamcast version and got to practice more.
Omega cause of marvel versus sf - when he was nerfed hardcore in mvc2 I almost decided not to want to play anymore. I chose spiral because I remember that she had some teleport move that switch you and your opponent along with her having some knives that follows you or something. Never knew about how fast her knives would come out so that was something I thought was hella cool and easy to use in giving your opponent some damage.

Speaking of Spiral, Duc, how do you seem to cancel summoning knives into teleport? Do you just wind the stick REALLY fast, or am I missing something?
There’s no way of cancelling the summoning of knives. When I teleport I’m teleporting after the knives animation has came out… that’s probably it.

I played MvC1 hardcore, so my first team in MvC2 was CapAmerica (R.I.P.), Ryu, and Spiderman. I remember about a week or two after the game came out, I played against a computer team featuring Sentinel. After seeing how many projectiles it had, I played a Sentinel team with my next credit. I remember thinking how pathetic he was due to the fact that all normals came out hella slow, and because he walked like a snail. Shows how much first impressions mean.
