What song was that? The thread

Word. I don’t think it was specifically for RR. Just a short kinda demo track. 2 minutes or so and some sizzling electricity sound effects in there.

This one’s bothered me for the better part of a decade. There’s an R&B single (late 90s prolly… no later than 2001) that I heard in a bar every weekend. The beat uses the Isley Bros ‘Between the Sheets’ sample (it’s similar to the instrumental from ‘Most Beatifullest Thing’, but a little different). The singer sounds like Sammie, but it prolly isn’t him if it’s a 90s track.

The hook sounds like “I want a girl like that, I want a [don’t know] who looks like you, I want a [don’t know] who turns me on, over and over.” Not the exact lyrics but close.

I just wanna know WTF song it is so I can close this chapter of my life.

EDIT: I’ve checked Youtube, song lyrics sites, sample check sites, discographies for years now… I’ve come up empty. I’ll post here if I find it, but no luck at the time of this writing.

Try This

I did before I posted. Nothing

Check the sample of the song, then search them on YT.

LOL I’ve been hunting this song for a decade. Nobody knows? Okay.

Thank you for the quick answer!

I heard a song on the radio last night that sounded pretty good. There wasn’t much to the lyrics, it was mainly bass guitar and that 70s style funk music. Basically a slow beat love song.

The only lyrics I can remember kind of sounded like “Come on over here…I’ll be there baby”, and that was basically all there was to the speaking part. Definitely sounded like a 70s song. Wondering if anyone can tell me that song. There was also another song before that one that sounded like Les Nubians and the chorus sounded like they were singing “girl in the moon” or something to that effect. My searching turned up zero, I really liked the way those two songs sounded.

come on srk don’t let me down.

Really vague, but here is my shot at it:

Not quite but it was worth a try. Thanks for attempt though! It was all instrumental (and the classic 70s “waka waka” effect). Was like the ideal love making sounding song.

This song I don’t know much about, but I do know, it sound like it’s from the movie from the 80’s or a old group band. Best lyrics I’d got so far is this: . Can someone help me???

Oh, shit, looks like we have a new entry for my custom soundtrack playlist!

I 4got all about it!!! Bring back old memories, “Kiss my converse” (Lol). Thx!!! Learning how to make more multiple mvc2 mixes in 1 disc, working in progress. Thx again.

I got 2 last songs that I don’t know right that I’m working on a project right now. Can someone help me with these 2??

Everyone from YT is curious about the cfGZt1EJXIk"]character select stage, and to be honest, so am I. And lastly, the match from Fugee’s mix, I’d kinda forgot…

Okay, this one might be hard unless someone with a diverse taste in old instrumental music steps up. I first heard this song in the mid 80’s on some old Time/Life Football Follies vhs cassette when I was a kid, then later that same year on a crappy Ghostbusters audio story cassette I found at school. It was even played during a football game montage on Married With Children. I found and dled a rip of said cassette and uploaded the part in question. Can someone identify this old instrumental song? (Ignore the occasional chime. It’s just to let readers know when to turn to the next page in the book as they read along)
