There was a recent car commercial with a band that had a girl lead singer. In the song was something like “Surfing on a rocket ship” or something like that. Anwyay, my friend seems to think that’s portishead but I know for a fact it wasn’t.

  1. this one is hip hop, there’s a chorus that goes:

    Why I loooooove you. but i loooooooooove you. (a girl sings that I think, but a guy does the rapping)
    or something like that. i thought the guy sounded like jay z, but i’m pretty sure he’s not. sorry that’s all i can give you :frowning:

  1. the chorus goes somethin like this:

  2. you’re probably not gonna find the name for this song. it’s a rock/alt rock band, and i think the name of the band is french or someshit. i could of sworn it started with a P, but im not sure. the lead singer has a pretty deep voice when he sings (maybe deep like creed’s lead singer, or deeper). sorry, i dont know any chorus or anything, i haven’t heard the song in a long time, and i just heard it recently on the radio.

I think we’re looking for the same song. From what I learned, the band that sings the opening and ending songs for the anime series DearS sounds VERY similar (99% sure it’s the same band). The band is called Under17, but I have yet to find out what their song titles are. Just try to find an episode of DearS and listen to the opening and ending songs to see if you agree.

The band is called AiR, and the song is called “Surfing on a Rocket.” It’s off their latest album, called “Walkie Talkie.” If you like the voice, I’m sorry to inform you that the singer isn’t actually a part of the band, but is rather a featured vocal in many of AiR’s songs.
