Obviously I’m asking for assistance in identifying the song played for this video, as it has plagued us ever since we came home months and months ago. Thanks in advance to anyone who can hook us up!
Well, there was this song playing on the UCDavis station “kdbs” and I would guess it is called “Still afraid of girls” because that is what the lead singer said in the chorus. It’s a rock band, not sure what type of rock though. help.
There’s this seemingly relatively recent (like from 2000-2002, or maybe even the late 90s) song that’s been annoying me whenever I hear it nowadays.
It sounded like the main course was “Say what they say”, but when I google that as the lyrics, I didn’t see anything that looked it would be sung by a single woman.
From other little stuff that I can remember about the song there’s something about “Around the World”.
Yes, I know this is quite nebulous and I somewhat expect me not finding it already to be my own fault. I’ll probably find in it before someone else does, unless someone can oddly deduce what I’m talking about. So, this is just basically cover my bases.
So, again, what little I remember is:

[]A woman singing. She sort of sounds like earlier Nelly Furtado, but I’m rather sure it isn’t. I could be wrong though. She’s not black though as far as I can tell.
[]“Say what they say” seems to be the main repeating part, but oddly my (quick) searches didn’t yield anything.
[*]I’m rather sure that it’s older than three years ago. Seems like it was a pop song once too. At the very least, it got quite a bit of radio play.
