In season 1 of MTV’s Made…the episode about the girl named either Nija or Neja.

The commercials MTV showed about this girls story was this sort of chill/lounge music they were playin. She was from midwest but came to New York to be a model. i recorded the commercial on vhs and NOBODY can tell me what it is.

I also heard it again on HBO’s porn 101 documentary. This guy had these two girls going at it but he called his submission “midsummernights dream” or somethin like that

i been poking around some for this information also… the posters at adtunes.com havent come up with anything solid, but coldplay is one of their bets. it’s not a bad guess really; in my household, we’ve come up with u2 and keane as other possibilities.

Anyone know the song for the ice stage in cvs2, HOWEVER from that popular burned CD version of cvs2. The one that has the top gun song for the parade stage etc etc. The ice stage has this cool sounding techno song. Im sure some ones heard it, if ever I see a burned cvs2 it always has these same tracks.

There’s about 6-7 different tracks in that vid from what I can tell… the only ones I recognize is the one at the begininng— “Marco V - More then a Life Away” and at the 29-30 minute mark “Marco V - Automanual”… could be a remix, I can’t quite hear it clearly with the game playin in the background.

The one at the very beginning/end because it’s a really nice song. At the end there is an actual small glimpse of lyrics before it cuts off.

Okay, took me a little digging but I found it… “The Originals - Down to Love Town”. Good luck finding the one you want because there are about 10 different house remixes of it.

Hey, PsychoSquall. May I ask you something? Do you know the names of the four songs in the four Battle videos? The only that I know is “One Winged Angel” song in the fourth video, but I don’t know the short song after “One Winged Angel”. Also, I know that the songs in the first and third video are from Street Fighter, but I haven’t ever heard those remixes before.

Ok…does anyone know of this song? It’s a early 90’s dance song. All I remember is that the loop from Robin S’s ‘Show me Love’ is sampled (well…pretty much the whole song is used…just in a different key), a guy says something over and over (‘I’m alive again’ mabye?), and midway into the song, an eletronic saxaphone solo breaks out. Anyone have any ideas?

Since it would appear that finding songs is one of the few things I’ve capable of, I think I’ve already found the song in that third video that I asked about.

It sounds most akin to the instrumental version of “Become the Storm” (Ryu’s SF II stage) with the beginning cut out.

Still need help on the others, however…

Apparently, DJ, “Cat Power” does the cover of “Hanging on the Telepohone”. Ostensibly, however, as I just found out when looking for it (which surprisingly took only two or three minutes) is that “Hanging on the Telephone” by Blondie is a cover of some band called “The Nerves”.

Interesting.

But yeah, it’s Cat Power; good luck finding it though. People aren’t even sure if the entire song was covered, much less if it’s going to be released (online or off).

Anyway, as for myself, I think I’ve found all my songs. From the Mugen thread in FGD:

1st vid: Ryu remix song (I think I heard it from www.OCREMIX.org) I’m sure somebody else here can better identify it’s title and composer. I have the mp3, but it’s not readily available to me at the moment.

2nd vid: from FF7: Advent Children (track #12 Battle in the Forgotten City)

3rd vid: another Ryu remix song. I’ve never heard of it before. It sounds like something you could find at OCREMIX again.

4th vid: you’re right, it’s obviously One Winged Angel. I believe this particular version is from a fanmade/amatuer project: Project Majestic Mix, and the album name: A Tribute To Nobuo Uematsu. (they actually bought the rights to release their own arrangements of various Square music)

… or I could be way off base, and that arrangement is actually the one straight from the game.

There are two versions of this album: Gold and Silver. Gold is the one to get, as it contains more songs. It was an exclusive version given to those that had donated a certain amount of money to their project. Best bet to get the music is off of a file sharing program like Soulseek. I have it as well. There are some really amazing arrangements that definately stand out IMO.

The second song in that vid is also from FF7: Advent Children (track #7 Tatakaumonotachi -Piano Version) You all should seriously just find a bittorrent and download the entire Advent Children soundtrack, as it is rediculously good.

I think already found both of these songs, though I found the first only because you told me it was on OC (and I got lucky on the first try).

For anyone else interested, the song in the first video is called “RyuInterpretation” by Malcos.

The third song may be another remix I haven’t yet found, but so it sounds most akin to (as I already said in the “What’s the name of that song?” thread) the instrumental version of “Become the Storm” (Ryu’s stage’s song’s name…that’s a lot of possessives).

I’ll try and confirm whether or not those are the right Advent Children songs. Thanks again (especially for the Ella thing, even though I don’t/can’t play Mugen).
