yea that sounds possible, though with Billy around also, u never know
This is great news, although I’m not sure I want to wait until KoF13 for these guys =( I think if they released them over time, it’d keep people from straying from the series, as opposed to saving it all and releasing a new game. I guess that all depends on what people consider SNKP’s last chance though @.@;
Really, if SNK was smart, they’d make this DLC, to ensure continued sales of XII- keep that fresh.
No fighting game has ever tried episodic gaming before, and I think it would be a great concept, though others disagree.
hmmm… ash, boss chara, dark ash sound like a series of final battles… beat ash --> fight the boss chara (orochi?) --> fight dark ash (ash + orochi?) maybe he is like the g-rugal or s-akuma in cvs2…lol
Well remember awhile ago when there was a rumor that Billy from rage of the dragons was gonna be in the game so I don’t think that it’s Billy Kane.
That also makes sense, and it would explain why he’s a single entry.
They probably have a bunch of half-finished things in the game that are blocked out. We’ve seen this with a lot of games in the past. Most notably was Hot Coffee.
adding all of them as DLC would end up being priced around $50+
even if they were sold for $5 a pair.
I wouldn’t mind but cheap kids would probably start a petition signing against it. >_>
but with that data, character DLC sounds possible. it’s just the question of how much money they get out of the first character(s) they sell online.
So he goes from bolding to underlining and making his text look like hyperlinks… lol. Hate to do it but gonna have to use the ignore function.
New characters in paid DLC is a really, really bad idea. What happens when someone tries to use a character online that the other player hasn’t bought? A lot was said on this subject when SF4 rose the question–it rings just as true here.
They’d have to release some kind of expansion that included all the new characters in one package. I just hope they don’t try and make us shell out another $60 for an incremental update… Especially when we’ll be in the next damn console generation by the time a proper “KoFXIII” came out using this standard.
It seems Hwa Jai was in a team with Raiden and Kim, while Vice was with Iori and Mature and Takuma with Ryo and Robert. Ash as a sub-boss + single entry. The others… secret characters?
Oh well. Mai, King are definetly missed, since their gameplay is different from the characters that actually are in the game…
Those and the boss, of course.
I doubt Mature and Vice would team up with Iori after what he’s done.
Billy might get involved with them. But I see no reason for Hwa Jai to be added
now especially since his moves were clones of Joe’s. Hwa might actually mean
Rock Howard. They might team up with Raiden and Kim, which would be more interesting.
as for the DLC debate, SVR2009 sold more characters as DLC despite DLC owners not being able to play with non-DLC owners. Overall, people still played with who they could online despite that.
besides, KOFXII might patch the game so non-DLC users can still play against DLC owner characters. I think Naruto Rise of a Ninja versus online patched that.
Except that they are using the first name for everyone else, not freaking abbreviations.
Exactly. If they were going to have 3 Kyokugen karate users (4 if you count Yuri, but she plays differently) I don’t see why not 2 Muay Thai users.
I’m guessing you’ve just met affinity.
look at burn out paradise, everytime that they add new content, there is a patch that you must download before playing the game, this adds all the content to your data, even when you didnt purchase it, so that way you can always interact with the people who bought the dlc even when you didnt
Something of note is that a lot of the would-be teams seem to be next to each other. Ralf, Clark, Leona are next to each other. Mai, King, Yuri. Robert, Takuma, Ryo. Athena, Kensou, Chin. Terry, Andy, Joe.
The other teams, though, are more interesting, story-wise. While there are classic teams next to each other at the top of the list, though, story-wise it isn’t impossible for the listing to be true for the next installment. Duo Lon, Shen and Kyo would actually make sense. Duo Lon ditched/got booted by Ash and co. Benimaru, Damon and Iori would add a dynamic in all the remaining lead characters shifting their classic teams. Ash is separate, but that may be because he is the game’s boss. An Ash, Mature and Vice team would kind of complete the circle.
Oh for God’s sake. Then explain why everybody else is ordered in teams?
Mature ressurected. They can do whatetever the fuck they want.
Argh… not this shit here too… leave that in the Ignition forums…
