i just played this guy on ps3 (his username was gullykiid) and after beating him fair and square in two ranked matches,he sends me a message saying ‘ur sh**’
he was just using shield slash over and over again until he got his meter up to do dante’s hyper,so i used my doom to destroy him.
now by my maths losing two matches in a row to the same person would make you inferior,but this happens quite alot.
I usually get the following:
“Run Maor Pls!”
“u s**k!”
“Learn 2 Play, b*tch!”
and so forth along those lines most of the time.
By the way, I got a question that’s rather off-topic. I’m usually running into people whom at first have like 14% winning percentages and wins around 5 / 85 or so but after the match is over with, they show up with 115/24 or something along those lines. Can anyone explain this? It’s like I’m playing False Rank people with false records or such.
Just a display bug in the stats that show up pre-match. It’s completely random, and will often show your stats wrong, and your opponent’s stats wrong (only pre-match).
The Win/Loss, Win %, etc. are all correct after the match though.
It’s kinda frustrating, cause that information is important to have before the match starts (i.e. “is this guy gonna play like a retard or not?”), because my approach is usually different depending on how good i think my opponent is. Fortunately, the “Lord / Scout / Judge” etc. ranks are still correct, so that at least gives you some idea.

anyways yeah, phoenix players send hatemail so quickly when you deny them the transformation. I was playing this good player in a longer set, i won the first handful of games then he switched to a phoenix team and messed me up pretty good with dark the first game. Next game he gets 5 bars quickly but then keeps swapping phoenix out and let’s me kill off his other 2 characters, so i smack phoenix to her magic pixel then back off and run away with sent’s fly for the next 40 seconds. naturally as the clock hit 1 second he dc’s and sends hatemail…
that being said, i don’t know why the phoenix’s cry so much about that tactic, i tried it on a 4th lord or whatever rank player (read… much better than i am haha) and he just tore me up for trying to run for that long, so it’s not like the chase is impossible.
laugh it off & tell them to practice more.
I stay humble and send them an lol or something else which gets them assuming I’m acting like I’m the shit at this game (knowing I’m not, which makes them ass). People take online outcomes way too seriously. This game can be frustrating, but a lot of people who take out their frustration on other players from losing (or even winning) are just children or grown ups who have no sense of sportsmanship.
Today I got hatemail for zoning, I mean “turtling” this one guy’s spider-man with my Ammy (on our 3rd game I think). If he came at me from the air, I used napkins. If he was on the ground midrange, I whipped him. So he just stayed full screen and got shot by ice. All while building meter with Morrigan for Okami Shuffle. The dumbest fucking thing lol. Crawler assault or something.

I get good props for my team… which feels nice. That’s a nice change from being called a lame ass turtle bitch for using Guile in Sf4.
Only got one guy “complaining” about zoning and running away at the last seconds when you have the lead. I explained how lvl3 X-Factor was too good to risk anything when you have the lead, and he understood, even if he didn’t agree. That’s his loss, but at least he was classy about it.

what really annoys me is that one time i wrote ‘good game you have a good team’ to which they replied ‘you suck’.
why do i even bother being nice when assbags like that exist.

Just for the lulz, I have seen one of my friends talk over the mic and say “X-Men Welcome to Die” after winning with the Gravity Squeeze. After that the dude who lost sent over 22 messages with a lot of hate, racial slur and sexual references to dogs, moms and horse manure.
I know it would take a long time to type but I would love to send “For you this was the toughest fight of your life, for me it was Tuesday”
