Not hate mail, or mail, maybe not even hate but people have been doing the most to kill my Wesker recently. I just noticed, maybe it’s the OCV factor I get every now and then (I try to play FT5 with everyone so that gives em enough time to figure me out) but people will do whatever it takes to kill Wesker. Like people who are intermediate players will start a combo, if a couple of hits connect they don’t even extend their combo but rather instant hyper into KFC second hyper and whatever DHC’s needed.
Should I take that as skill respect or as intimidation or what?

Yeah it’s mostly casual players. Real people that care about fighters and about leveling up will make an effort to improve themselves. I know if I’m playing and I lose because of a character’s tricks or aspects I was unaware about, I will hit that Danger Room and see what I can do about it.
All casual players just complain if they can’t handle something or don’t understand.

I like how A LOT of people say that we need to learn the game. I guess people that do random moves know a lot more about the game than people like us who use unblockables, assist/cross-up tricks, extended combos, and other game specific techniques. Haha, this is just like years worth of built up annoyance by little kids (or people who act like little kids) not comprehending basic, general logic.
I’m beefin’. A guy named jay_walkin_gee23 kept calling me a *** throughout the match, even though he played Sentinel Spam and turtled throughout the game. I smoked his ass and he tried ever so hard to play me again. I don’t like playing with scrubs who are disrespectful~

I generally reply to hate mail in the nicest way, often agreeing. Either makes them feel bad or leads to great replies.
Examples:
Them: “lrn2play scrub” Me: "I’m working on that! Hopefully I can show my progress next time we play"
Them: “I let you win, *****” Me: "Thanks, that’s very kind of you. I don’t understand why you would add an insult to your comment though, that doesn’t make much sense."
Them: [Rage about Sentinel] Me: Usually [Advice]
Them: “Spam more noob” Me: Usually [Relevant advice] but sometimes something like “I just started playing [character] and haven’t practiced their combos, so that’s the only effective thing I know how to do. I’m working on it though!”
It wasn’t even that bad! It was a close set, and I barely won. But the comment made my win all the better.
Gotta love ragers. I did have one or two ragequits, but that’s it.
Same here. Whenever I lose either consistently or just get completely bodied, I add the guy to my friends list immediately and ask if we could rematch some other day.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and doing XBL messages with a TE stick is pretty annoying, because I like to punctuate and capitalize everything properly. No idea why capslock has to be L3.

Me and you have played quite a few times, ZProtoss. Didn’t know you were an SRK’er. Nice to see ya (I’m the Red Trish/Sent/Skrull player that likes to be annoying with traps, haha). ANYWAY, Crimson Fox 88 is not hilarious. He’s LEGENDARY. Seriously. If you are on XBOX, go find this guy NOW!
I played him at 5 in the morning. He’s like a 1st Judge or some shit. I’m 5th Lord (have a job,new clingy gf who lives an hour away, etc. Haven’t got to sit down with the game like I want to). Anyway, I’m totally playing rushdown against his zoning Akuma/Ryu and moronic Dante who wants to teleport all day. Anyway, any time that I laid a trap, did a dive kick, or used an assist, I was called either a ni****, a fa**ot, a spic, or a bitch. Oh, and when Sentinel came in, he constantly said things that would get me both kicked out of church and disowned by my mother.
I asked him how I could be both a N*** and a spic, to which he replied because I play like a f*gg**. His logic is amazing.
ANYWAY, he then points out that he is a high rank and I am not, so I should be playing like him (Even though his rank is because he’s been playing NONSTOP since the game came out and has a ton of losses). Eventually, I just started agreeing that I am a niggerfaggot spic and that I just can’t help that I’m so bad (even though he couldn’t pull out a win for the life of him into double digits. I told him that it’s a terminal disorder, etc. He kept running into me online though, and it got to the point where as soon as a match started, I’d say “best friend, is that you?” and he’d reply “Oh great, you again the fuckin’ nig**r! You’re wastin’ my time pussy!”

What’s FUNNIEST about this guy is that he plays Naruto, and uses Itachi (poorly abusing spam and Chakra tactics), yet says that anyone who plays with Sentinel is a no talent fa*got. If you google him, he has a reputation for being some guy that no one wants to play Naruto with.

I actually work with a dude and his sister who are both half black half mexican. Not that I would ever refer to them by such words but I actually have kind of an answer to your question.
edit again: Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure I played that Crimson Fox 88 dude a few times.
I totally “cheesed” myself to victory the other day with Dormammu. Well, not during the entire match, but just to finish my opponent’s last character.
He was down to just Ryu and I had Dormammu out. He was on the far side of the screen and I used Chaotic Flame to try and catch him off guard or even just to chip. He blocked. I sent out another Chaotic flame. He blocked. I XFC that Chaotic Flame into another Chaotic flame. He blocked. But the chip was just too much at this point from the 3 Chaotic Flames and he died. I knew he just had to be pissed.
…all of the sudden he either turned his mic on or had it on the whole time but just started to talk to me. All I could hear was “**** YOU **** *** CHEAP ********** **** CHEAPASS **** *** **** YOU!!!” I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off at the immense levels of rage.
I do the same shit with Dorm. If I play someone who uses XFactor early I will build 5 meters and save them all for level 3 dorm and chaotic flame chip to death. I really stopped giving a fuck about this game… this game is insanely fun when you don’t take it serious at all and just be extremely cheap.
