funny, I was using some random IM/doom team. This scrub comes in the room and takes like a full minute to pick his LAST character. I almost OCV(maybe even a perfect) him with IM and so he ragequits. I messaged him
Me: Loser
Him: Im a newb yyou F’in tool
Me: So? take the loss. you’re pathetic
Him: grow up
Me: that coming from a guy who cheats at video games
Him: and you havent ever dropped? u need to grow up because you gloat
Me: i didnt gloat. im just calling you a loser. Haven’t quit once. I’ve only lost 2 times out of 60 matches
Him: congratulations, you beat me on my first game ever
Me: ragequit your first game? nice
Since when is being a scrub make it okay to ragequit? thats like saying good people dont deserve wins.
Another guy ragequit right when the round started becaused I picked spiral and he “didn’t want to play someone who spams”
Since when do you get to CHOOSE who your opponent can and can’t play in ranked?
I wish you could just send everyone who quits the Justin Wong comeback video. Might pull their fingers off the home/guide button if they think they have a chance even when they are about to die.
Not my fault he jumped into every single shot I did and allowed me to AHVBx2 both him and his assist… also he waited for me to pick scrub and then picked 2 wolvies and BH AA
There is actually something wrong with cable when playing online. You can’t block the AHVB from a dash or a bunch of other situations where where you can block on reaction in offline play. Lag really helps zoning teams
Ah, so it isn’t just me then. It seemed like I was eating a lot of supers up close that I thought I should have blocked, I assumed I was just mistiming something, but there is actually a bug with this?
I haven’t gotten any hatemail yet, but i’m just a MvC2 scrub and I haven’t played scoreboard matches yet.
Pretty sure its been posted in the bug thread. The audio and sprite glitches i can deal with but there are a lot of showstoppers in here for a simple port. I think they would have been better off writing a dreamcast emulator and just left out the sprite filters, etc.
Obviously the ENTIRE reason we have this thread is because we get a kick out of what people say after a game, regardless of who messaged first. (since when did it say they had to send the first message?)
Let me put it this way. I find the conversations you have with people after a game interesting. I’d like to share my experience. Does this not seem like the correct place to post? or should I create a thread “What conversations you have with people after you beat them”. dood its pretty much the same thread. What are you guys talking about?
You were kind of a dick to a guy new to the game. Ideally we want those people to grow the community at the end of the day. It’s Interesting when they go out of their way to cry, it’s just kinda lame when you have to kick them when they’re down to get a response. =\
I wasn’t that much of a dick. You know how annoying it is to get a RQ every other match? He rage quit, so i called him a loser. He replied with “you’re an F’in tool, you need to grow up.” He insulted me because I called him a loser? Losers ragequit, literally. I called him exactly what he was.
If you don’t message a rage quitter with something, then do you think they’ll even think twice about doing it again? Hell no, no hatemail = ragequits all day.
New player or not, he is a CHEATER who ragequits. He ragequit his FIRST game. What does that tell you about him? Ragequitting is no different than being at an arcade and pulling out the plug to a machine when you’re about to beat him.
its even MORE ridiculous that a first time player will ragequit. Its not like he’s going to have a good record anyway. So If he is unwilling to let a hardly trained player to have a satisfactory game, then I don’t think he deserves ANY respect.
Don’t get me wrong, im all for increasing the fan base of MVC2. I’ve even posted that in other threads. I just don’t want to attract the cheating people who ruin everyones online experience.
you were sort of a dick. you should have just ignored him. there is no point in sending him that when it won’t really go anywhere aside from a silly messaging squabble.
the people who ragequit will ragequit regardless of whether you send a message or not.
you sending these message will not change anything, you’re just instigating hateful responses from people which we don’t really find amusing.
I wasn’t saying I wasn’t a dick, just that I wasn’t a huge dick. Not half as big of a dick as those racist hostile ragequitters that message you with hatemail. I wouldn’t have said ANYTHING unless he ragequit.
I have a different opinion. I don’t think you can just sit there and do nothing when people do something wrong. Thats just poor logic, no offense. I don’t agree that saying something will not change anything. You at least have to try.
Its not fair that all these new players get to play MORE complete matches than the people who truly support the game.
I wasn’t sending messages to instigate. I send messages in hopes of them to STOP RAGEQUITTING. Sometimes that takes being called “a loser.” Really, is it that big of a deal to call a ragequitter a loser? You guys are over reacting.
You guys are nice, cool. I’m just not that nice. Towards every ragequitter i’m going to have to say something.
Also I didn’t post in this thread to amuse. More so to vent. Its just stupid for a new player, who isn’t going to win, to ragequit like he’s going to make top 10. Don’t let people who are irrelevant in the game, ruin the fun for real fans
^ i agree with the fact that u have to try to tell people about about themselves, the more messages they get hopefully they’ll get the picture and if they don’t screw’em…because in my opinion people who do that are real annoying…plus i’m not sure they get penalized in rank matches for that. i had one guy play me in a ranked match back to back and the first time he beat me, i picked one wrong character…the second i beat him but before the match ended he raged quit…what’s up with that? i sent him a message and called him a sore loser, because he deserved it…if i can play and take a loss other people should grow up and deal with it too.
