What always annoys me are people who lose to low tier and pick gods to retaliate… but they suck still and can only use their spam tactics ect… so I start picking better characters… not gods b/c I don’t normally play em… but upper tier characters like IM or spiral… then they send a msg calling me cheap!! wtf… this has happened to me at least a dozen times… or chumps doing fail rom attempts with magnus… then proceed to RQ 3 reps into being IM inf’d… BH’s that will jump and chip/assist/super all day long with no thought of actually fighting you… but RQ soon as you start thanos bubble reps on them… beyond sick o the shit… i guess no one has pride anymore… just false pride.
I had a sent player teabag a bit ago… after going 1 - 14 against me and finally getting that win in game 15… that’s the mentality…
got one the other day when i had megaman/sabretooth/psylocke. megaman perfected the dude’s magneto/im/psy team on player matches, chipping him to death with beat plane
i get a message saying “its okay if ur too scared to play for real =)”
I will admit, there are a few. PSN:Deckard17 reliably owns me up, even with low tier, and is a good sport about it. PSN:tsaopao (is that right?) also does a good job of owning me up. Niether have a problem with me playing scrub or scrubclops.
But in general, if I get a skilled opponent who run a magnus all over me, it’s not very often they’ll stick around. I’ll probably be ready to throw the stick against the wall after 5 matches or so, but I still need those 5 matches.
Deckard17 usually beats me but I get him now and again. tasopao is always on late as hell like me… and we’ve done crazy 30 match in a row runs a few times w/mostly low tier. He often gets the best of me with his ruby/silversam/ken team…
good games the other night, i am mvc2 msp. i think i that night i was like 2-50 playing u and another guy name xenozeri. that cable is one of the best ive seen online.
This wasn’t messaged after the match, but rather said during it. Two people in the room were discussing how I “didn’t know how to play the game.” This was said while I was currently kicking their asses. Because I don’t do flashy combos like they expect, I somehow don’t know how to play. It was pretty funny really.

Hmmm…he kept falling for basic air combo traps and two Cyclops AA into Cable AHVPs. That’s it. When I realized he was garbage, I just started push blocking all his moves to my amusement. Does push blocking count as an assist?
People need to stop whining about the assists in the game and just deal with it already. “OH GOD, YOU SPAM ASSISTS LIKE A RETAWRD!” Thing about this game is, it practically RUNS on Assists, and anybody who tells you otherwise is a God damn liar. And it’s not like your opponent will always have the advantage. Believe it or not, you can fight fire with fire and counter their shenanigans. Sick of Blackheart and Commando ruining your shit? Learn them yourself or counter with Storm. Psylocke and Tron fucking up your day? Keep your distance and zone with characters like Iron Man and Cable.
Good God, some of these noobs online. You’d think that after ten years, they’d have adjusted by now.
i have to admit, i haven’t always been a good sport about things. i’ve never ragequit, but i do get upset when i’m taunted or teabagged, and attempt revenge by picking top tiers in player matches or making a private lobby and inviting the guy who played me. it just kinda sucks that i can’t find a player better than me that will just play me so that we can both learn, who is preferably better than me.
wish i could just stop playing ranked matches looking for good comp to train, but i don’t have many people on my friends list that i can consistently play with.
…aaaaand, there goes another player, ragequitting after having his ass handed to him by Roll, out of all people.
Damn, I wish I had a camcorder. It’s one thing to ragequit, but it’s another entirely to do so because you’re owned by Roll Tier. Granted, I used some cheap assists (Iron Man’s AA and Blackheart, to name a couple) but still.
That’s truly sad lol

I play roll/strider/doom (she actually has good points with doom-B) and it’s hilarious when people fear her.
True she starts with the rock (roll) ball, and can instant overhead anyone into a double jump combo, but ANYONE with the basics shouldn’t get caught by it.
Those assists work pretty good with her, really. Blackheart covers a lot of space Roll can’t when she’s out, and Iron Man’s AA covers her against jumpers. Plus, her Beat Plane works great when cancelled into Proton Cannon.
Either way, just came off of the PSN Network. Two more ragequits against Roll. Some players are smart enough to catch on to what I’m doing and give me a decent fight, at least, but others are just plain dumb and do the same monotonous crap over and over.
On a side note, I challenged outlawgun (a notorious ragequitter) to a match. To my surprise, he actually showed up, and gave me a decent fight, even staying around when he lost.
Think we’ve made a convert out of him?
EDIT: By the way, stupid question…how do you do Roll’s instant overhead?
The key to beating a roll team viciously is to just focus on the assists. She can’t protect them.
Her instant overhead is just up or uf + RH. You can do that plus a quick assist and than double jump to combo afterwards. What I do with my Roll team is get someone in the corner and somehow force them into a wakeup situation. From here I can switch between the overhead or a c.lk + doom. Either way I plan to finish the combo so that they’re put back in the same position. I like doom b/c even if they block the initial hit you’ve got time to do the 50/50 against or cover yourself with a rock ball.
Oh, that. I guess that’s what I’ve been doing all along, but I just wasn’t so aware of it until you pointed it out.
Either way, really sad when you see somebody ragequit against Roll. I think I’m going to start compiling a list until I get a camcorder, because that shit be funny.
