Technically, Dan’s a shoto…
I used to get kicked for my title too “One Punch to Kill You” in Japanese. It’s one of the white ones you get after 2200ish BP.
Fuckin pussies.
I’ll join the club of people who got cursed out for throwing a lot. Some people seem to think blocking should be a magic shield from all harm or something.
My Hate Mail
So I was just learning some Ryu earlier and played a pretty good player, but had a 13 initial win streak on him. He wasn’t bad, just lacked fundamentals.
It was pretty cool. Ryu can punish jump ins with a jab shoryu into ultra.
So I decide to play Fuerte the 14th match. Lets add some variety eh? So, I end up loosing.
I message him and say “Wanna have a last match? Im kinda tired, and wanna sleep.”
To which I get this lovely reply:

I really don’t know what it is about people these days.
Well thats my hate mail, hope you guys like it.
BTW, shoryu -> FADC ultra is pretty hard (for me) but its satisfying when you get it. It just looks cool
(I play ST and use Cammy, but in SF4 it feels like she has ankle/wrist weights on during her normals.)
I digress…
Toodles!
I love the scrub mentality
“I FINALLY GOT A WIN! Quick, let’s leave on it so I can feel superior (disregarding my 1-13 record)!”
I’ve got some disconnects and a “FUCK YOU” over voice chat, but never hate mail for SF4 yet. I have some training to do.
FADC into ultra takes quite a bit of practice. I was surprised at how clumsy the motion really is.
Meh, been playing too many shoto scrubs, and they don’t seem to know what to do against Guile at all. One kid was using Ken, and after beating him two rounds(was a rape), he messaged me and called me cheap for using Guile. Woooooo.
Yeah I think I’ll keep my title at something really pansy sounding so I can surprise the nubs and scubs.
I’ve noticed this too.I had mine set to “psycho power” and then “you are beneath me” and kept getting kicked.Changed it to “fledgling fighter” and suddenly I was only getting kicked after at least playing a match.
It’s ridiculous that these “titles” mean anything to anyone.
The best message I’ve got so far is an ol classic-“wow-you suck”,from a sagat player who spammed fireballs and got headstomped and ex stomped to death.
Personally I’ve only sent one post match message to anyone and it was to apologize for him lagging during the match (first time I’d ever had anyone lag with me hosting). I’ve gotten kicked once when I had the “Saw That Coming” title set. I don’t get the kicking personally but I’ve finally turned to playing more skilled as the priority over stability. I’m currently sitting at 500BP even and slowly getting better. Played a couple good Fei Longs and am starting to see less Ken/Ryu’s as I move up (except for my Ken playing self of course).
This one guy told me that I was a bit bad and tried to be smart about it, but since I was Guile I said “I’ll go home and be a family man.” We became friends. xD
See, I turned it on him, making me the victor.
I’ve only fought 5 games online so far, takes too long to find a good connection and when the game is over it’s right back to searching for some 4 bar love again… Is quickmatch limited to only one game? There’s nowhere that asks me if I want to fight them again?
I know this is about online hate and such but what I noticed was many of the posts stated that “everyone uses Ken, everyone uses Ryu, everyone uses Sagat.” I mean come on those are some of their most popular characters who have been around FOREVER. Stop complaining about it and just whoop on that ass!!! You’re bound to fight these matches over and over especially from newcomers to the game. Psychologically I’d probably pick a dude who throws sweet fireballs, has a flaming uppercut, or wears an eye patch any day if I was first starting out lololol. I mean I’ve been picking Ryu since SFT and unless Cammy is sicker I’m sticking with him. Are you throwing me into the category of I’m not allowed to pick this character? Let people pick whom they choose, if you pick a lower tiered character and win or lose by a small margin, pat yourself on the back man, you’re beating the odds. Once the hype dies down a little you’ll see scrubs get sick of playing and better players will be around to widen the character selection you end up playing against. Now lets all go back to our regular scheduled programming. :bgrin:
Lmao. So fucking right.
But I do run into shoto’s that just suck balls, really.
I find Ken and Ryu players kinda annoying, they seem to reproduce exponentially.
No big deal, just demon their ass, but it’d be nice to have more variety.
I’ve only recived one hate message from one Ken faggot that got beated with some intense fireball spam.
Other than that, all the messages I’ve sent to people who put a nice fight replyed politely.
same
You’re bound to fight shitty shotos anytime. I got beat plenty of times yesterday before the Gamestop tourney started while I played as Ryu. So I was like fuck this, I haven’t played SF4 at all, no near nothing about the mechanics, so let me just use my 3S playtype instead (i.e. overheads, tick throws, mixup and wakeup guessing games) and guess what…I won the tourney.
So thank you for agreement there, props to you my dude. You’re bound to fight shitty (insert character here) any day, any week, any month, any time, all day, everyday, 24/7. Get use to it people lolol.
*The JokerCPC’s statements are not endorsed by Capcom, and he doesn’t claim to be Pro…so suck it
true. frankly, i don’t mind at all. i like playing shotos. the funny part about playing them is watching them during the selection screen. i pick my character immediately and they waste many, many, many seconds before picking ken or ryu.
I love when you can tell they’re waiting for you to pick first, like they’re going to counter pick or something. They move around the screen and sit their cursor on like, sagat, gief, and blanka and right when you think it’s going to be interesting they cycle over to Ken.
Just got a message simply saying, “Sonic Boom… Yawn”
The worst part was it was from an Akuma player that loved to keep away using air fireballs.
this seems like its a much bigger problem on the 360 than the ps3, and hopfully many of the scubs jump ship to killzone 2 in like a week.
