i played this guy today. and i’m pretty sure he counter picked me ( i play rog). HE sat on ryu like he was going to pick him, and once i picked rog, he choose gief. I whoop his ass anyway, and he says this and i quote “fuc *******” So i send him back “u mad” he hasnt responed back.

I havn’t gotten much hate mail yet but I whisper people gg and good luck in the future if it was a good fight and then if they seem cool by their reply I will add them to friends. I call blatant DCers bad and never really message the people I beat unless they are truly terrible then I say “Blocking is good in this game”
I don’t think I’m good enough in this game to warrant ragemail, I usually get the “nice <char>/gg” type messages. I usually initiate the messages with “GGs/ggs now I have to go be a family man” which may have something to do with the positive attitude I get in return.

I don’t understand why people keep comparing sf to real life fighting either. Most of these hate mails I’ve seen on here have been responses to the likes of “you beat me in sf but I’ll fuck you up irl” lulz. I mean to me, sf is more like chess anyways. If someone beats me at chess or checkers with a certain strategy, I’m not gonna be all like “that was some cheap ass rook move, I’ma fuck you up”. They were playing smarter and I fucked up, it’s up to me to adjust next match.
I suppose it’s just the general 12 y/o mentality on live or psn, but as much as I’d like to think that all these hate mails are from 12 year olds, the reality is that some of them are probably even being sent by people in their 20’s-30’s. That’s damn sad.
