if the match is close or if just get stomped i always message the other person to let them know that the match was good…im a good sport what can i say…but i cant stand the ones who after i beat them just start talking a ton a junk just because they lost…its always either “man all you do is the same move over and over” or “you have a shitty connection” (btw i have a baller connection). and of course its always the scrubs playing ryu and ken…all im sayin is if you lose you lose…figure out why you lost and imporve it
I can say that because while i have lost my fair share of games im also ranked 190 on XBL for ranked wins…and i have a 70% win percentage…i learn from my mistakes…i just hope other people can too

Mine actually bothered me a little. Hatemail for winning, fine, we all get those. But hatemail for losing, I don’t get it. Dude had a pissed off icon before the match started so maybe he just came from a bad fight or something. Oh well right, not like I can change peoples minds over the internet, if they really want to be a dick they are going to be. dude’s name was “RW Kasza” in case anyone has this happen again. If he is this inspired when he wins I would hate to see him lose.

Akumas are hilarious in SF4. I had one trying to do it for a good 30 seconds. I just stood back and let him try to get it. Just seein’ LPs and LKs fly everywhere was making me die from laughter. Can you still do kara Demon from that f+mp?

Not sure, but you can Focus cancel into it. I don’t know how this guy did it, but I was going to chip him with a Dash Straight with Rog, and he focused it and Demon’d. Even after I won the match 2-0 I sent him a message praising that counter.

I thought we were gonna have a good match, but he waited until I had already selected and then went for a counter. When I saw the guy had 2x my BP and still pulled such a low-class move, I got kinda mad >>

I got my first hate mail today, the guy said “Dude that’s fucking cheap” When i said what is? he said “Throwing so much” i told him that every tactic has a counter and he needed to stop whiffing his SRKs
what’s dirty about that? winning =/= cheap. I was playing a sagat and we were in the final around, he had barely a sliver of life (so little a blocked special would have KOed him) and i had slightly more. He managed to knock me down in the corner knocking me down to a sliver of life and hit me with an ex tiger knee the frame i was standing up. He actually said over the mic that he was sorry for being so cheap i just replied that there was nothing cheap about it. He had me at a disadvantage, saw a way to win and took it.
I personally don’t think anything is wrong with chip damage wins. A win is a win and the person who lost to chip damage got their energy down to that low as it is anyways. What I found funny was that Samyon later wrote to his opponent who was hatemailing him, “in the gayest way possible ‘off to piss off better players’”. That was funny

Chipping is a very valid and often effective strategy to put pressure on your opponent.
And a win via chip damage is still a win…if your opponent can’t afford to take any more chip damage, that is a great position to be in for you, as you now (to a certain degree) control your opponent without having to expose yourself to additional risk.
Last night playing ranked matches, after playing dozens of Ken’s I get a Ryu player. A rather skilled one a that. I just barely beat him with Bison. I sent him a message, “Good game. You got a cool Ryu.” His reply, “Suck my dicc bitch my cuzin would pwn u”.
This is why I need to invent a device that will allow you to stab people in the face over the internet.
