If it don’t involve Michael, it ain’t epic. Hell, even the vid is fucking epic.

This is epic. It’s a slow build up, though.

I am disappointed in you SRK.
Mozart’s Dies Irae
Exactly. And

Is this really epic music? It’s hilarious.
Adding Verdi’s requim and dies irae because it is intense .
I’m guessing epic music is like orchestra opera type music that moves really fast and is about olden times of battles with swords and stuff.

posting in an “epic” thread
I made a few epics myself
KONFLICT

One vs All(get money)

Not necessarily. Rhapsody in Blue is just amazing: .
Night on Bald Mountain:
Same with Sorcerer’s Apprentice is another one which is fantastic:
Rite of Spring (which is also featured in the original fantasia) caused a riot when it was originally performed. It was considered a great success because of it:
And one of my personal epic pieces of music, Schubert’s Death and the Maiden: . The first time I heard this piece I was waiting for one of my classes to start and something about it just made me start crying uncontrollably.
During the time of Big Band, these were pretty damn amazing: Sing Sing Sing .
In country music you have: Boy named Sue . Honestly, country is full of epic, people are just horribly misinformed about it.
Blues has The Thrill is Gone , (and a lot more, just not as well acquiented with the genre as I wish I were).
Clapton has Tears in Heaven , made even more epic because it was his first performance of the song after the death of his son.
Billy Joel has Piano man .
Leaving a bunch of genres out but yeah, epic is across all genres, not just one stylistic direction.
Adding Don McLean’s American Pie .
Edit: fixed a link to a better quality video and adding American Pie.
The concept of “epic music” is way too subjective, almost as bad as trying to describe “good music.” I would never put American Pie as epic music, but I also know its way to nebulous a term to argue over.
THIS!!
This is epic music.

Honestly this always got my hyped. and thats what I define as epic.

An epic is a long composition with a protagonist that takes place over long periods of time. If you transfer this over-abused word into sound you’d have way more than the ten minutes YT allows you. :nono:
