Bee Gee’s are legit on the merit that they use akward chords that annoy me to play…dont’ matter that they predictaboo, those nigga’s can play.
Also, Funk is glorious on the merit that it made disco into something so much better.

Yeah I have a playlist on Spotify with Disco/Funk tracks, fucking good stuff.
you’d probably get the best feedback by talking to someone from that era. anyone who was born >1985 will have limited knowledge. and it’s a shame too. some of the best disco tracks are probably lost as stored away vinyls. the spirit lives on though, only songs with great rythym can bring out the killer dance moves, like with this kid
DUWAYNE sighting, this thread legit now.
Yeah that track is solid. Glad you like it. Great “walking music.” I’ll try to think of some other songs.
Disco turned into house music, which I really like.
^ I remember seeing this haha
on one hand i hate that disco ushered out the folk rock of the 60’s
on the other hand, earth wind and fire
Got into some of the “nu-disco” stuff in 2009/10:

Not sure if it was @swbeta or someone else in the thread about electronic music that introduced me into this genre.
These sunglasses protect my eyes from the harmful rays of gravity.
Keep on twinkling, all you space souls.
Disco/funk stuff I heard on the radio in the 90s
The best thing about the disco era: nary a fat motherfucker to be seen.
I’ve been rocking a lot of this stuff in my trunk lately, preciate the recommendations.
This 1 i just discovered today and put on repeat for like the entirety of the morning
I just listened to this song and I thought it was amazing, had to come post it here.
finally, a god like srk thread. continue, this will be good

Glad to see Waacking in that video, though that was primarily the dance for disco (aside from popping and locking). It’s a really fun dance to do.
In this dance battle video, the song is called “The Player” by First Choice. I enjoyed the original but the remix in the video more.
A song isn’t disco if there isn’t a Fender Jazz Bass guitar used in the song.
Disco isn’t disco if there aren’t any real instruments in it, either, in my opinion.
What have you done?

Boogie nights. My go to song as I leave work heading home at night. 3:20 mark onward always has me wanting to drive faster.
