What Fighting Game Do You Want to Have a Sequel or Another Edition?

 I just that post alone, but that made me lol.

Darkstalkers 4 would be so much better than a SF 4 IMO.

Street Fighter 4
Last Blade 3
Garou 2
Darkstalkers 4

In that order.

Garou 2 or NGBC2 or Darkstalkers 4 would be very nice.

I honestly don’t think SF4 would live up to the hype and no matter what wouldn’t live up to even SF3.

Until I see this reported on something other than kotaku, it is just a rumor to me. It definately doesn’t sound like the stuff that was promised when KOFXII was first announced.

Well seeing as how the release date is 2009, lots can change.

Besides, I’ve learned long ago that you can never trust what devs say when new games are announced. Not that they’re liars, but they need to generate some hype, and stuff changes over dev time as they figure out what works and what doesn’t.

*ObZ

The ones I want the most:

Tobal 3
Fighters Megamix 2
Darkstalkers 4
Last Blade 3
Realbout 3
Garou 2
SF 4 of course

  • Darkstalkers 4
  • SF 4
  • TMNT Tournament Fighters 2

A lot of ppl said Garou 2 this pleases the soul.

Oh you all know you want the next holographic fighter to come out… Holosseum 2!!!

If not the obvious SF4, I’d go with Killer Instinct.

I guessing you never played Primal Fury/Extreme…that gave pretty much EVERYTHING you asked for.

As for BR4: since BR4 came out here first, and the japanese version came out 5-6 months later, I’m betting REALLY heavily that what we got was a less than 70% complete version of the final game. I hate when Japan uses us as a beta tester. They did it before with BR: Primal Fury, only we didn’t get screwed as badly that time. The japanese gamecube version is the american x-box version, only with the animated sequences from the american gamecube version. Fang is in both the japanese gamecube and american x-box versions. The first release of this game (american gamecube) doesn’t have him.

My wanted sequel list, with explanation…

  • Capcom Fighting Evolution 2: Ok, so the first one got blasted. It deserved it. But we all know Capcom doesn’t really get things RIGHT until the second try. If they expanded the roster by two to four characters on each ‘team’, had a boss for each ‘team’, and tweaked the gameplay, this could well be the shit. Here’s who I think should be added or changed to a boss, in descending order of importance (I consider showing different styles more important than popularity, with one major exception), so if adding two, take first two; if adding 4, take all four:

For SF2: Ken (of course!), Balrog, E. Honda, Sagat. For boss, Shin Akuma.

For SF3: Dudley (Dudley vs. 'rog… 'nuff said), Makoto, Remy… (any idea for a 4th?). Gill as the boss is too obvious, but neess mentioned.

For SFA: R.Mika, Adon, Gen, (any 4th? Any who’d be the best choice for a boss?)

For Darkstalkers: J.Talbain, Q-Bee, Huitzil, BB Hood. Pyron’s already a boss, so…

For Red Earth: Tessa (this was obvious), Gi-gi, Tao, Blade. Boss: Scion.

Eh… more to come later.

Street Fighter 4? with the rights in the hands of Capcom USA? no fucking way… at least you want to play Street Fighter: The Movie, The Game 2.

Darkstalker, a new Ranma 2D fighting game, Waku 7, World Heroes, Killer Instinct.

To see Jedah and Pyron in new animation that the CPS3 could do…give me that over Street Fighter any day.

Yeah, Capcom is chomping at the bit to make more CPS3 games…

What I would do for another game in the Rival Schools series…so much potential! And it even had some nice party modes, before Mario came along and pretty much took the market unopposed!

Why Capcom commissioned Arika to make another SFEX come the PS2 era, and not just take the reigns of Rival Schools/Project Justice, will always be something beyond my realm of understanding. Arika was a talented dev…they just had no real business trying to force a 3D SF down our throats, is always my opinion…

Honorable mentions:

TMNT Tournament Fighters follow-up: Only condition? USE the material from the more mature-themed Mirage Comics, and not the stuff from the increasingly reaching modern day cartoon series (Turtles in the Future, WTF?!). For one thing, because Raphael with his secondary mutation that makes him look draconically-beastly is WIN, and always something that I would have loved to see in another medium.

DBZ Hyper Dimension: Hey, Bandai-Namco! Y’know those Craft & Meister guys you got to do that Cho DBZ game last year? How about getting them to make a true follow-up to what is probably still the most “respectable” DBZ game ever made?

Hiryu no Ken/Flying Dragon - Any body remember that game, “Flying Dragon”, for the N64? Not only was it probably one of the few respectable games on that platform, but it was actually part of a much larger series by Culture Brain. Given time and competent development, I would think that a modern day sequel for at least the DS would be something worth consideration.

Psychic Force - …Whatever happened to that “Project Psychic” that Taito at one time announced for PS3? Completely cancelled out-right? Moved to the Wii? Whatever the case may be, I hope that Taito does SOMETHING to bring Psychic Force back from the perpetual limbo it’s been in for years. It’s an interesting series, that I often thought did a better job of trying to be “DBZ” than a majority of DBZ games.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure - Hey, Capcom and/or Bandai! The latest iteration in the series, “Steel Ball Run” may be currently running its course in Shonen Jump, but the time will come when it will eventually come to a close. Whichever one of you actually ends up snapping the rights, should immediately do something to do the story arc justice in a game. My idea? If a 2D fighter isn’t an option, a Power Stone-like arena game (using the PS2 Capcom Jojo game as a basis) would be fine too.

Why would someone want to make a game on a obsolete hardware like the CPS3 ?
We have a lot of more powerful hardwares nowadays, like the NAOMI.

i want cvs3. i know it’s not happening, but yeah.

guy should’ve been in cvs2. :bluu:

MvC3…

done.

Need a new Hokuto no ken/Fist of the north star!! :lovin:

While i’d rather see something like SF4, realistically Hnk2 is more likely to be made.

I dunno about that now that Sega and Arc split. I wish they would make another, NOT BROKEN version with more peeps in it.
