ladies and gentlemen…
EW 2012er. You’re not even a real person. You’re like Paper Mario…
With the aside that forum/stream monsters always assume everybody that’s proud of their performance was just lucky.
hey who’d you play in super turbo?
Well yeah, I mean monsters will be monsters, I mean hey, the amount of times I’ve heard Daigo get called a scrub and he’s in the Guinness Book of World Records for tournament success. If words get thrown around enough they tend to lose their actual meaning.
urgettingtrolled
True enough, I think that’s why this question even came up though. “Fraud” has kind of lost its meaning through serial misuse.
The term fraud’s real meaning seems to be either; A mediocre player who plays an extremely powerful character and carries themself like they are better than they are when it’s the character doing the work, Or a good/above average player who plays a character that nobody else plays and get’s wins due to this yet thinks of themselves as a god when they are really just taking advantage of matchups/lack of character knowledge. Both of these archtypes usual get figured out and drop back to the level they really belong at(Not clearing pools, only top 8’s at regional tournaments). The really good players stay on top.
thanx xes, ur a good man
Something Arturo Sanchez made up and like the herd of sheep that everyone is, everyone now uses the expression as well.
It means you’re a fake, that you drop combos, that you get lucky alot, that you mash, etc etc…
We’re all a little fraudulent to a degree, but a true fraud is always a fraud.
If you pop off alot how nice you are but don’t ever place in tournaments, you’re a fraud
Fraud = OP
In the FGC, the term fraud is basically used anywhere and anytime you don’t actually have anything positive to say about someone.
In the end, it has come to mean very little and is the go to word for scrubs.
Win with something cheap = get called a fraud
Lose with something cheap = get called a fraud
Beat a top player = get called a lucky fraud
Lose to a top player = get called a fraud
Drop one combo you consistently hit = get called a fraud
Place high in tournaments = get called a fraud
Win tournaments = still get called a fraud
Choke once = get called a fraud
The reason most people can’t even tell you why they’re calling you a fraud is that even they don’t know why they’re doing it. It has about as much meaning as swag.
while we’re asking questions, what exactly does your signature mean?
Saw a user named fraudulence in SF3 Video thread. Oro player.
SNAAAAAKE played CvS2, “the last true Capcom game.”
Or Fierce punches feels goodman.
I would like to play Snake in CvS2 @ EVO. Then I will report if its recommended or not. It will be.
I as in me
as in love
dickgirls as in females with dicks
I, love girls with dicks. Pretty simple and self explanatory sig
right on! i was just wondering because you should have seen me when the boys on the second grade playground told me, "girls don’t have peepees."
well, i was just shocked! “…what do they have?!” i said.
oh, and i feel like this is going to be another question later, so i’ll answer it now: the term “legit” means the exact opposite of “fraud.” it means the player is just as admirable, honorable, and skillful as they seem/make themselves out to be. no cheap stuff.
