i use it when it would be effective or a worthwhile gamble.
oh yeah it also depends on your character your using.
sometimes their EX is better then their super in that situation.
I always use it.
I don’t care if it’s full health vs none… even if i don’t win the round, it shows them that they have to be careful… As well as getting hit with a super, when you think you got the round bagged can throw you off.
I always save my meter for the Rejuvination super after they kill me. Shits too good.
What this guy said
waste it
Nah man you never hold back.
Not doing the maximum damage if you have the opportunity is a mistake. Willingly giving up rounds just to save meter is not something I would do, I don’t care if I’m down to nothing and he’s got a whole bar. You can ALWAYS come back in 3rd Strike. Always.
It’s a smart way to play for the character that I use, too. Cause lets say Yun has a full bar and you are down to nothing, but you have a punishment situation, you’d be a fool not to super. Deadly Double knocks over 50% off Yun, you hit it you are right back in the round instantly.
Oooh better yet you are dead but land a CDB, overhead dash, dash xx Deadly Double. 70%+ damage. Not only are you back in it, the crowd would go nuts for such a beautiful combo.
lol. last time i checked it was resurrection :wgrin:
but use the meter. just pretend youre at full health and youre getting a perfect.
i activate genei-jin
what if you have 100% health and your opponent has 1 point of life left? would you use a super to guarantee your victory or play the round out and save the bar? it seems like according to most people here you should always always always use super given the opportunity no matter what the circumstances are. I think it’s a bad decision to use the super in this case, especially if you’re using a super which can swing the weight of a game (e.g. hugo SA I, makoto SA I, Q SA II, urien SA III etc.), and especially if your opponent is in a situation where a comeback is difficult (e.g. twelve, meter-less urien, meter-less hugo etc.)
It’s understandable to say comebacks are always possible, but I think it’s also a good idea to optimize your chances of winning. It’s not really worth using a super to increase your chances of winning from 95% to 100% or 5% to 10%, to decrease it next round from 75% to 50%.
i agree, it’s definitely situational, the response “use super no matter what” isn’t exactly wise. who you are and you who u’re playing can change the whole playing field. but i’d say use the super and go for the come back most of the time =D. if save it in hopes to lose, then you’ve already lost
I try to blow their ass out of the water with that shit! Overkill fucking rocks and you know it…It just feels good to see that flash
I use EX moves to get a big glowing penis.
MY favourite tactic with Dudley is a rose throw to hold them down > EX mgb if the opponent is down to a pixel or two of energy. Otherwise, super overkill FTW
Save it and use for the Ultra Secret SAIV!!! ALL SAIV are unblockables.
oppenent 90 % hmm if i had a good opening and i knew i could come back i would…
