Burial uses a lot of elements that I’m generally not a fan of (the “house” kind of vocals, for one), but he puts everything together in a way that I’m cool with it. And this Archangel track, in particular, has a great atmosphere to it.

I figure I’d post in here since it’s a popular music thread.

Anyway, I’m working on this novel/series of novels and there’s this society of people/culture that’s loosely based on the jamaican/rastafari island kind of feel. I’ve been listening to a lot of island reggae lately and learning how they pronounce and speak their version of english. I’m starting to get some of the stuff down (with the help of online lyrics), but there’s some stuff I just can’t understand or decipher the meaning of. I was wondering if there’s anyone in here that’d be able to help me with some specific stuff. I’m not going to bother posting it in the thread, but if someone who can translate some of the stuff for me that comes from the island or has a good understanding of the language, send me a PM over srk or message me over AIM at WildKittyv1
