What are the most unfair AI's in a game you played?

Astro Boy Omega Factor - Every single boss on hard mode.

They can kill you in 2 hits and take ages. I finished it when I was about 14, and have never finished something more difficult.

WTF is everybody talking about MK2, having tough AI. That game was free if played with anybody except Raiden,Lui Kang and Kung Lao.

I use to be able to beat Baraka double flawless with my eyes closed.

lol… first off, thread’s about fighting game AI. Second, this is what should happen when you PUT THE GAME ON HARD.

Inferno on Soul Calibur 2 if thats considered a fighting game and Alpha 152 from Dead or alive 4. I might just be me i dont really pay attention to bosses only online people may be thats why it seemed so hard.

sidesteps and crouch block own nancy for free. In that same vein Nightmare train From T6 was epicly difficult

Wow. You guys really suck at beating the CPU.

Not a fighting game.

Inferno wasn’t really unfair, but his 300% HP didn’t help matters much. Then again, every opponent on Ultra Hard blatantly controller-read to make themselves look good.

Eternal Fucking Zero, aka EFZ.

OMG some of the shit the AI does in that game will make HUMAN opponents seem like a cake walk.

No, its not. Read the first post.

MK2. It pretty much makes me angry when the AI just walk up and throw me.

MK2’s AI is piss easy. I use Scorpion, and follow this flowchart:

Round Start: Hold Block. They’ll either try a special, or walk in. Depending on character, it can lead to a quick Spear->Uppercut combo, or just chip a bit. Regardless, they’ll start walking in.

At JUST outside sweep range: Sweep. They’ll walk right into it, or jump back.

If they get closer, start this pattern: Jump back, walk forward a touch, jump back. The closer they are, the more they’ll be in “wait mode” before jumping forward*. with Scorpion, you can get a Death Punch, and follow it up with a teleport punch->spear->uppercut combo. Does about 60% damage. Always follow this up with a forward jump ASAP, and early kick (time the kick to land as it hits its last active frames). If done right, the AI will take it like a bitch, except for Mileena. She will roll away. Let her.

Near the corner: Move forward a bit and jump back. If they neutral jump and kick you, you were too close to the corner. Let them jump over you, and take a free uppercut with sweep followup, then jump back and let them eat deathpunch and its followup.

VS. Smoke, Jade, Noob: Same tactics as before, save for hitting Jade with a Spear. However, at 3/4 screen, you can jump in and kick for free. They will attempt to fire a projectile, but you beat them. Back up a bit, then repeat the jumpkick. Depending on position, you can take their entire bar with this tactic alone. If Jade jumps back on a sweep poke, she puts herself at the perfect distance. Rush that shit down then.
Noob LOVES to try a Spear in your face after blocking a jumpkick. Block it, then fire your own back for easy damage.

VS. Kintaro: Abuse Jump Kicks. Jump AWAY if he tries the teleport stomp, and kick him out of it. This is the one fight I haven’t figured out yet.

VS. Shao Kahn: Block at the start of the round, or you might eat fireball. Then just retreat into the corner and crouchblock. Punish ever blocked charge with an uppercut, and jump forward kick for some chip. Jump back, and as you hit the corner, kick again. He should walk right into your feet. If not, Block and wait for another shoulder charge. He’ll do one eventually. Lather, rinse, repeat.

*Wait Mode explained: This is easiest to see when against Smoke, Scorpion, Reptile and Mileena. Sometimes, you’ll see them switch to Sub-Zero’s or Kitana’s stance. This is what I refer to as Wait Mode. The next move they’ll make is to jump at you, 100% of the time. Make sure you get their timing long enough for you to land, then let them eat a punish.

Ive noticed where it was posted. I was thinking it would fit better in gd, considering the topic.

Killer Instinct on hardest difficulty… you can only use combo eners when your combo count has reach 2 hits, the AI can end combos from a single hit. Can’t combo break them.

Eyedol, the boss, is OP as hell. It can’t crouch so when it blocks, it blocks both high and low. and they aren’t grabs in the game either. When it lands a single hit on you you lose like 40% of your life because the combo they do are 2 times faster than if you would to do that combo yourself, so it makes the window to combo break a lot smaller. also, he can stomp to recover health, and he does this after smacking you up in the air so if you get KD’d he regains 30% of his life back… he also recovers life during the time your first life is lost and the next round begins.

Funny people are mentioning MK2, was playing it on my psp at work last night. Well, the megadrive port. While I’ll say it deserves some mention, the AI is particularly easy to exploit. You can win by sweeping abuse in most cases, and often time repetitive drop kicks at particular positions as to where the cpu does nothing. Winning those ways doesn’t stick well with me though, so I play normally getting my ass kicked. The CPU in this game can read your inputs and react accordingly, most special moves you do don’t even connect or matter. You have to be just very good act reaction to get them to work.

That right, at times the CPU just reads your inputs hardcore when its gets serious. One game i use to play alot and the AI got a little annoying is.

KOF - Neowave : I had the Cpu up against the rope on its last character( i think it was Goro). He came at me like a fucking mad man *Just Defending (when you block ON POINT like parry & eligible to attack back & get reward with health i think) Ever attack i properly through at him on key. Just defended every single hit on Vice’s outrage move ( Similar to Chun-Li Lightning Legs) then he DM me for the win.

Its happen though. The Cpu just does what it wants to do.

The AI in MK2 was pretty tough for me, especially some of the bosses. Sometimes I would approach with a jump kick, and the AI would just do a quick neutral jump with a kick to counter my attack. I was never able to beat the game with anyone really except for Kung Lao. I did find out a way to beat Shao Kahn with a exploited flaw. What I would do is pin myself to the wall, and he would continuously use his dash special move. I would hop, and I would use a certain kick button repeatedly. In response, he would block, and he kept losing health due to chip damage. I won literally both rounds due to 100% chip damage. You can only imagine how much time it took. The AI in Killer Instinct is definitely tough as well, especially when the CPU’s use combo breakers literally all the time. Eyedol was a real pain in that game, along with Spinal.

Kahn was easy for me, Kintaro not so much unless I picked Sub-Zero and rape him. You could get a freeze of even before he stood, found that funny. What I hated is how he could knock you outta your special moves while you are doing it. I tried to do a flying dive with Raiden only to have him grab me out of it and slam me to the ground.

SvC Chaos is harder than CvS2…

Samurai Shodown 2. Set to hardest…not possible.
