What are the different kinds of HD arcade cabinets out there?

yeah they are pretty ugly and bulky, looks like a desk with a monitor and a control panel.

So far the ones I’ve seen in person are the Namco noir, the old delta 32, New delta 32s, Vewlix L and Vewlix F.

In terms of of looks wise the Namco Noir take the ugly cake.

The Old delta 32 look like a tank…It HUGE!!

The New Delta is alright I guess.

The Vewlix L & F, the best looking HD cabs and the most comfortable. They both look identical just different colors, I think the blazblue edition color looks the best though.

The New Delta cab is awesome.
I kind of like the look of the Delta32 too. They are also half the price of a Viewlix.

EDIT: Check this out.
New Delta is looking pretty good for what you get compared to Viewlix.

I wonder if there’s an easy way to replicate the lift and rotate mechanism on the Delta 32?

Hey that pic of the namco noir HD is mine  … I love this cabinet, does full 1080p. Mine is a chinese knockoff, but i believe the original only does 720p so im happy.

The namco noir and viewlix are so very pretty

Yeah i like the viewlix just a tad more than my namco noir, but for what i paid for the noir shipped would have alot of you freaking out at how cheap it was.

Come on, now; don’t leave us in suspense! How much?! lol

I played on most of the LCD cabs and the Vewlix cabs are superior to all the other LCD cabs

Any details on what you find are wrong with other cabs?
Any info on New Delta would be v. appreciated!

Ive been planning a sort of custom Vewlix. But I think im going to switch the plans to a custom Delta 32. That design is sweet, and I wanted something where I can always upgrade or downgrade and Tate the TV easily.

I want to make it tall enough so you can stand or sit, and a few other different things. Time to get working on the design.

On the 1st page I gave some impressions I have on the LCDs cabinets.

The reason that I believe the Vewlix cabs are superior is due to there build quality compare to the newer generation cabs & even to the older generation CRT cabs.

The old Delta cabinets are big and bulky for a newer cabs and having a monitor that lags doesn’t help.

The New delta 32 cabs is also big and bulky. Unless you are a shmups fan, there’s no reason really to have the screen rotate. Because of the rotating mechanism…instead of making it look like a Arcade cabinet …the units ends up looking like a table with a monitor attach to it.

I dont want to say anything bad about the Noir anymore cause someone actually has one over here,…

This is exactly what I was debating when I was thinking about making a custom arcade cabinet. I was initially leaning towards the Sega Lindbergh or Delta32 simply because it was easy to implement a fixed rotating mount. I ended up deciding against them because it did just look like a table with a monitor attached.

So I decided to make a Vewlix that could rotate.

GROSS! I would never play on a Bravo 32 cab because it uses a JLW

You can actually tate(rotate) the monitor on the vewlix…but you have to do it manually like the old CRT cabinets…

I got mine new for $1800 shipped to NY, I imagine he payed in the same ballpark.

When you can get 2-3 per cost of 1 viewlix the marginal differences aren’t worth the premium. Granted they don’t look as nice, but like any line of cabs consistency is more attractive than variety.

Wow Viewlix gets all the attention when there are so many other beautiful cabs out there.

So are there any input delay/lag issues with the Delta 32, Namco Noir or these other ones?

And which of the Viewlix cabs has the lag issues?
