What are Ryu's options against Sentinel?

Sents will play the long distance game against ryus. Spamming hadous full screen helps but is not the answer. From my pov against local and online sents. Full screen Tatsu’s will get beaten by sents air normals,

  1. Have a good assist to bring you in closer.
  2. Use j. M/H/S into light tatsu often when close though.
  3. Work on that 75% life combo on sent and don’t drop combos. Big ass hit box.

Fighting Sentinel with Ryu is ridiculously easy for me.

Air L has awesome priority
Air Tatsu L is amazing after a superjump
And any long range Sentinel Strategy (except for the Hyper Sentinel Force Super) will be trumped by a wisely timed KAMEHAMEHADOKEN!!!

The only thing, as with EVERY Sentinel strategy, is to not get touched by Sentinel, which isn’t that hard, though depending on your opponent’s skill/strategy. Just make sure you approach him with caution, as should be the method with any character fighting Sentinel. He’s a giant hitbox, so he’s actually very easy to hit.
